The service, the place, the position, tye attention to detail. Not so much what i did not like but, in case theybwould have an opportunity to extend the beach to sandy beach with beds...that would create the perfection..

The location was stunning and our room was absolutely amazing. The spa had a snow room which I had never encountered before and was fun and the staff at the spa were super helpful. The grounds of the hotel were also beautiful and when we wanted the hire bikes to explore the coastal path, the reception staff could not have been more helpful. Fabulous! The service at the restaurant was a tale of two halves. At times it was exactly as you would expect from a 5 star hotel and at times it was not. On one occasion after waiting 20 minutes for a drink, we gave up and walked to the bar to get it ourselves. On another, the waiter referred to me (and I’m in my 50s) as “darling” - I put this down to a language difference, but it was still unwelcome. However, when I ordered a salad with a dressing and queried where it was on arrival, I did not expect the waiter to argue with me about whether the salad should have the dressing that was clearly on the menu. All little things but they added up to a slightly uncomfortable whole.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable overlooking the sea. The toilet was huge and had all amenities available. The robes and towels were clean and soft. The bed was huge and the pillows were fluffy. It was a very comfortable mattress so I had a good night sleep. The pool was a good size. Not too big and not too small. It wasn't crowded which is very tranquil. The food I ordered was delicious. Not really a big issue but the sound of the fountain outside my room was loud during the night so I had to close the balcony door and couldn't enjoy the natural breeze but definitely not a deal breaker :) All else was perfect

Breakfast, when it arrived was generally ok. Staff are over stretched and it reflects on their service But they all very nice and pleasant Tbe pool, although perfect temperature, was a bit untidy, tiles missing Which made it look a bit shabby If the maintenance crew spent a day replacing them and the ones around the water feature, it would make a huge difference.

Location is fantastic. The 'Lido' restaurant is wonderful, dining at the sea. Everything was perfect! Service in the restuarant was somethimes chaotic due to lack of the English language. If a traveler can speak Dutch, French, German and Englisch you would expect that people understand each other.

Room was superb, spa is sensational as well. The breakfast menu is limited given breakfast was included at a 5* hotel. Also had an issue getting a drink from the restaurant in the evening with poor service.

Clean and spacious Unusable beach

Staff, location and room was lovely and quiet. Most Spanish hotels do not have a make up or hair dressing table in the room. I like the magnifying mirror but bathroom was too dark to do make up in. Also we need a full length mirror in the dressing area.

The breakfast overlooking the sea is simply magical and the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast in the lower bar starts at 09:30 but 08:30 in the hotel itself. The staff went out of their way to make my stay fantastic and even picked up a daily English newspaper for me from a petrol station. The gardens and ambiance of Las Dunas are fabulous. Truthfully the Spa at this hotel is really amazing but the cost of even the most basic treatment seemed expensive (eg: Euros 130 for a 50 min facial), compared to elsewhere. But maybe this is because I do not normally use a Spa and am not up to date with prices. However a 50 min facial at the Danesfield House in Marlow (super expensive hotel) is £90.

Wonderful hotel - away from the hustle and bustle of Marbella, but still easy enough to get to. Set in beautiful grounds by the beach, great spa and pool facilities and the staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel could do with a bit of modernising.

The hotel needs some TLC.

The entire experience was exceptional. Gorgeous room balcony with beautiful view of the sea. Staff were friendly food lovely. We hardly left the property. We will definitely be back The spa doesn’t open until 10am so I couldn’t get an early appointment to use the reformer.
