The Drift Hotel

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We arrived to a lockbox on our door. once in the room we realized there was no way to lock our room door. Room was filthy! Bed was slept in, makeup on sheets, dirty floors, dirty bath towel. Sand in shower, dirty bathroom, AC did not work! There was no fire alarm just wires hanging out of the wall. We arrived late a night and there was nothing that could be done as staff was not available. We were forced to book another room and cancel this stay. I have made a formal complaint with EXPEDIA not response yet despite being told they would respond that day.

Loved this little place, steps from the beach, restaurants and shopping!

Pros: Location!! Parking is free, but very TIGHT. There were times you couldn’t walk between cars. (But they made it work!) They even had to park cars in the walkway to the court yard, so people had a place to park, which I commend them on. However, if you sat in the courtyard you’d be sitting next to a car and getting around them was tough. The staff was very nice, I’ll say that. The bathroom was clean and the fridge was great for storing drinks and food. Cons: the property is no where near as nice as the photos! You could hear everyone around you in your room, we had loud neighbors at night that were up to 4am. You can hear people and the tv through the walls and if you’re downstairs, forget it, you can hear everything in the unit upstairs too. We were trapped on the first floor between units so we heard everyone around us all night. Our unit overall was okay, but the flooring was separating in places so you could see the sub flooring in spots. The Internet was awful. You had to be in the courtyard for it to work. Even our tv couldn’t get internet service most of the time, so no tv for us! No phone, no tv. If you needed to use the microwave it was in the office, if no one was there, no microwave for you! Same with coffee maker. Overall it was “okay”. Sleeping at times was a challenge.

Staff and location are excellent.

Bugs in bed and desk didn’t care. Also construction all around location. Cheap but you get what you pay for.

Clean and close to the beach. Good for a short stay.

Cons: No real amenities and no washcloths

Very limited parking. They assigned me a room when I entered there was a person already inside the room with all his belongings.

Good price and decent digs. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. It's comfortable and in a really good location.

I selected the Reserve Now, Pay at Property option, yet the hotel repeatedly tried charging my card on the day of arrival. When the charges failed, they canceled my reservation while I was in the air. I called several times, and even customer service couldn’t reach anyone. Thankfully, they honored the reservation when we arrived. The location is excellent, with the beach, restaurants, and bars all within walking distance. Unfortunately, the room was overwhelmingly musty, the bed was hard, and the property felt neglected with rust and stains. I’d stay elsewhere next time.

It’s ok

The location is great. The damp smell is quite strong, and the rooms appear to be in need of renovation, including the furniture. In addition, the internet service is very poor.

If you’re looking for a place to sleep, it’s top notch. If you’re looking to hangout this is not the place. Parking is close to rooms.

I love the location . the rooms are below standard for the area and they say parking is free 15 Spaces only but really about 10. other than that for the price . Average

Close to the beach, room was sparse but comfortable

Quiet, one block from the beach. Walk one 7 minutes down the a1a to a CVS, restaurants and shops. The FLL party area is a other 10 minute walk south. Beware, the rooms are minimal but functional and clean.

No pool. Equipment every where. Semi clean....only good thing is it is 2 blocks from the beach.
