Wyndham Garden Fort Walton Beach Destin

This hotel does not feel like a Wyndham. It’s old and it feels like they put lipstick on a pig. The staff at the front desk is very unfriendly and they give the feeling they don’t want to be there. NEVER AGAIN. While we were there, I checked other hotels around the area and they seem a lot better.

They could have be more appealing to their guests.

Perfect stay! Right on the beach. It was clean and nearby to everything.

Little bit out of place. And that I have to paid for parking in top of what we already paid for the stay. Over a good place to stay.

Close to beach Too many smoking areas near NON SMOKING walking areas& ice machines should be on every floor

The room was clean, the view was amazing and the hot tub felt great.

The condo itself was super nice! And the balcony! Only thing I did not like about it was the surprise 100 dollar charge as a damage fee, we were told that at the check in and had to HUNT to find it on our booking, it should be in the policy part for easy access. And they charge you and you do not get your charge back for 3-5 business days.

For the money you spend, it’s not worth it. Rooms are small and out dated. But, I really enjoyed myself, great spot!

Worst part about the whole experience, you would think being on the white sandy beaches of Destin Florida that the hotel would offer beach towels, but they don't, and you're not allowed to take hotel or pool towels to the beach. So if you're traveling from out of town, you have to go buy beach towels, because we all have so much room in our luggage to be able to carry beach towels!

Really enjoyed our stay! Will definitely recommend and definitely stay again when in FWB!

We stayed in section C. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke on the first floor. The phone in one of the rooms didn't work. This was reported and the clerk said she was sorry it wasn't working. There was a roach in two of the rooms. The door to one of the rooms had to be forcefully pulled to stay closed when exiting the room. An alarm went off at 11:02 p.m. in an empty room. The front desk was called but no one answered. Eight mins. later, the front desk was called again. We were told maintenance was on the way. They arrived 2 mins. later and stopped the alarm. Water drained slow in the sinks. The elevators were slow. Breakfast and parking were extra. We won't stay here again.

Had a tiki bar/ restaurant Staff was friendly Near Destin, but not in the middle of craziness and traffic Even though renovations have been made, it was more like they slapped paint over the old. Our ceiling in the bathroom was pealing off and looked to have mold. When we arrived, our air conditioning unit was leaking water on the floor (we were told about it and given towels. We were also told we would be getting a discounted rate, that didn’t happen)

2nd on day 3 after a very long day at a baseball tournament and beach time in the heat. Our key and door completely stopped working, we stood outside of our room for 20 minutes burnt, hot, and wet waiting on maintenance to fix our door. Also the pressure from the hallway would pop the door open when we were away. We came back to an open door after a long day at the ball field, thankfully nothing was missing. Another time I was showering while my family went to grab a snack. I left the latch open so they could come back in. I got out of the shower to find the door wide open, and no family near by. 3rd the newly renovated room had a toilet that was so lose it nearly lifted everytime you sat down or got up. The painters decided to skip painting the back of the toilet which was an eye sore. Also the new tv console with a sliding door for the refrigeration, microwave, and 2 drawers was off center to where the drawers could not be opened for additional space. 4th for 350$ a night I would expect cleaning services daily while not in the room. When calling the front desk to inquire on cleaning rotations I was told they only clean at check out and will occasionally refill towels. 5th at checkout when looking under the bed for items left behind. Lots of mold was found on the underside of the bed skirt. I have pictures if needed. 6th the pool is heated, it’s summer. In Florida. It was so hot it was almost intolerable. Also the pool closes at 9. The sun has barely set and they lock every thing up for the evening. So no after dinner swims can be had at this location. 7th the laundry services are pricey at 2$ to wash and 2$ to dry. There was only 2 decent washers that were not riddled with sand. 8th at check in 100$ is collected for damages, its really to park.

Dirty room, couldn’t shut the bathroom door without kicking, the entire floor smelt like marijuana upon arrival

First Got-cha moment Oh it’s Ten dollars to park.Yes when booking it states parking available,Gotcha. Stayed two nights, and pool was always clondy and dirty

So close to beach. Walking distance. Could rent umbrella and chairs. Nice pool. Very cozy. Some updates would be nice but for the price you get what you get. Still great value for the cost.

Very clean and close to the ocean. Everything we needed was right there. Beautiful white sand and clear emerald waters. The towels at the pool were only there some of the time. That’s literally the only thing I can complain about. Everything was nice.

Great location. Multiple pools. Friendly and helpful staff.
