Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Wayne Southwest

The staff was helpful. We had a squeaky bathroom door, which was located in the bedroom. I told the front desk and they took care of it while we were out. The place felt like there were people that lived there full time. I'm don't know for sure. The doors to the rooms slammed shut, so there was constant nose in the hallway outside our room There was breakfast everyday and a small concessions area although it was very pricey.

The kitchen was very clean and it was convenient to be able to get ice on demand in my own freezer. The fireplace was very nice. The breakfast served was very good and fresh. I saw them replenishing items all of the time while I was there (with a hungry baseball team). I really wish, though, that you had a recharging station for my hybrid car. Also, when checking in, it would have been nice if they had a map showing the property, where we were (at the check-in desk) and where my room was. I ended up parking at the wrong end and walked the length of the property twice to get my stuff in my room.

Conveniently located in a nice and quiet neighborhood not far from downtown.

Rooms were kind of worn…broken light fixtures, etc. I don’t know if I would stay here again.

Rooms are slightly dated but stay was good over all. Lots of smokers on premise/outdoor areas.. so if you don’t like second hand smoke, this could be an issue.

The bed and pillows were comfortable and shower was warm . The fireplace didn't work as well as the remote had to mess with it for 20 minutes to get to a channel and leave it there, We could have the fireplace for like 10 seconds then would just click the rest of the 20 minutes not peaceful at all. There was tons of hair in the bathroom and found underwear and party stuff under their couch bandaid next to the bed. Also $100 pet fee is pretty ridiculous on top of the room rate especially since you obviously don't clean anyways lol, kids make far many more messes than a cat and for your staff to have such an attitude and reply it's pretty standard like okay well if we weren't already paying $200 for a room in a town with nothing that might be different.

The room size and the clean hotel The breakfast provided could be improved by offering better waffles rather than the gaining sugar ones. Breakfast area was very clean and inviting.

A very nice and quiet location for this hotel with a comfortable and spacious room. The kitchen staff was very friendly and helpful as was one of the behind-the-desk staff. Other staff didn't acknowledge us when we came and went. This hotel had everything we were looking for in our stay in Fort Wayne.

Exceptional

We have been coming to this hotel every year for at least 10 years every August.. It has been going down hill for years.. The dirtiness is unacceptable. i only slept here the 1st night! after i saw the amount of mold on the couch i refused to sleep in that room another night! service did the best they could to cover up the cigarette smell.. the amount of mold i saw when i took the cushion off to pull out the bed is beyond disgusting.. It should be ILLEGAL!!! i stayed in room 130 from August 15th to August 17th.. the audacity to charge a pet fee is laughable! stay away from this place.. far nicer hotels around ft wayne with cheaper rates!!! we will never be back!

Exceptional

Everything was Great, ither than the fact that there's not a pool. There used to be a pool at this facility, ive stayed here in previous years.

Enjoyed having a small kitchenette for my extended stay.

This property had bed bugs. I was bitten so many times I had to get medical attention. Terrible experience and I will never be back
