Hilton Garden Inn Fredericksburg

Was definitely unhappy with my stay. The pictures felt more like clickbait once I actually arrived. & For the money it ended up costing me, that wasn't a great feeling. But after a long motorcycle ride to get there., on a Saturday, it's not like you have much choice left. Anyways I arrive., & now I'm just waiting on my guest. Whom by the way, just drove 5+ hours to get there too.. Saw nothing on line to suggest that the hotel was under renovation. My guest & I were literally stepping over planks to get to our room. Purchased a suite., on the first floor, which happened to be right across the hall from where the conference room was. Which just so happened to be where a family reunion was taking place. All good though. Seemed like a good time was being had. However, there was a slight mildew smell coming from both my room & throughout the hall. Where the non-working ice machine & "pool" were located too. Oh & Let's not forget the huge container sized dumpster directly outside my window. (Renovation waste?) We ended up not really wanting to spend much time in the room.. Early the next morning, we awoke to loud banging, & talking. Turns out, there was a crew of men pulling the carpet in that very same conference room where that family reunion was going on. & That mildew smell had definitely kicked up a notch. Just icing on the cake I guess. Let's just say I've stayed at better places. & By those standards, that's not exactly a flex.. & For the price., that was ridiculous. 👎

This was such a nice hotel. The reception was a nice area and the girl manning it was so friendly and sweet. Our room was very clean, smelled nice and did not have a loud AC. I was impressed honestly,

Only the location to where I was coming from was good about this experience and the new bartender whom I engaged with when I ordered dinner. She was new but very nice and did an excellent job waiting on several people at once by herself despite being newly hired. The fries were also good. I had multiple stands of hair in my bed leading me to belive the sheets had never been changed from the last guest. I called the front and was told there was noone who could change the sheets for me as all maid staff was gone for the day but they would bring new sheets for me to change myself. After 40 min never received the sheets so I sent a text back to the text message I received after I checked in about my stay. They responded and let me know my request had be forgotten and would send them up. About 5 minutes later I finally got the sheets and just used those to sleep on. I paid $189 for one night with nothing else included but parking. The hotel had been newly renovated as I've stayed at this location before about a year ago. I did like the upgrades but the hair in my bed messed up my experience as I've never had an issue before at this location.

When I checked out in am I notified the attendant about that request for walk-in shower she said it was my fault because I picked the room. I reminded her that it was booked on line (and do they ignore the special requests which can be made. They in fact had the requested registration. Someone should have notified me that room would be without a walk/in shower and I would not have Paid for it. Also, there was a $25.00 charge if you wanted to have breakfast there.

Location near Wegmans made grabbing a quick dinner & snacks super easy Smell of weed permeated the entrance. Wasn’t aware the property was undergoing renovation when making the reservation. Some noise intrusion when we attempted to sleep in after a longer day of travel

Very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay. The area had lots of restaurants and it was very close to 95. We would stay there again

Got dirty towels, dirty restroom and smelly restroom that made the stayed really uncomfortable!

Construction the entire time

Check-in was quick efficient. Staff very friendly. Room had all amenities I asked for.

This was a very clean hotel that appears to be in the process of final renovation. The room was very clean. While this was a quick stop for the night, the location was great with lots of amenities nearby.

Clean and newly remodeled

The property's not bad but you're doing a lot of construction and it interferes with the flow of the hotel itself you should let people know when they go for reservations that you all have got construction going on
