Staff friendly and helpful.

Room size—large for price point. Friendly and welcoming staff. Room smelled musty, even after running A/C for 24 hours. Hotel policy, as explained by sign on bathroom mirror, is to service rooms only every other day—make beds, replace towels, replace amenities, etc. I expect a hotel to service rooms every day, and not to gaslight me, as the sign did, by telling me the every other day policy was for my “comfort.” Nonsense—it’s for the hotel’s bottom line. And of the hotel is only found to service rooms every other day, they should provide two days’ worth of amenities, like coffee pods—don’t make guests call down to the front desk for more, sheesh. Finally, we had a fire alarm during the night. We evacuated, but at no point did the hotel staff provide a update to all guests standing outside about what was happening, our give the all clear—we only surmised the ask clear once we saw other guests going back inside. Poor communication.

The property is undergoing significant renovations. They do not disclose this until you get there. This should be disclosed before the guests arrive. Things are kind of a mess. And the whole place smells like a construction zone. Normally, has been a nice place when they have their stuff together. Personally, I believe the place should be closed until the renovations are complete. But if not, let guests know what is going on in advance.

Bar/restaurant awesome!

The hotel charges a nightly parking fee but many of the parking spots are blocked by construction vehicles and storage units. We had to drive around looking for a spot and ended between two dumpsters. Upon check-in we were informed that rooms are only cleaned every other day which is fine. Save the planet resources! However, we found used washcloths in the shower from whomever was in the room previously. When we returned to the room the 2nd day hoping for fresh towels, our room had not been touched! We called the front desk to ask for fresh towels and were asked if we really needed towels since we were checking out the next day! Not that it should make a difference but I like showering in the morning before traveling. Spend a little more and stay elsewhere and maybe your coffee in the lobby will be hot!!!

The pillows were way too soft. The mattress was not in great shape. I wasn't expecting the $7 parking fee eithet.

The first floor (at least the north wing) was under-going an upgrade, so getting to our room required walking through a taped off area and some plastic flooring, but the room was more than adequate. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they assured me I could have another room, on the 4th floor, which we accepted. It was very pleasant and had an assortment of drinks/snacks (complimentary). We got a good night's sleep with little to no distractions, and left the next morning as refreshed as possible. Highly recommended.

Everything was excellent

I reserved a suite with a bed and a sofa bed because my fellow traveler and I needed separate beds. After we arrived, the only available room was with one bed. No sofa bed. My companion had to reserve a room in another hotel at the last minute. I called the Hilton Garden Inn a few days later, and I was told that the suite I had reserved was being renovated. If I had known that, I never would have reserved the suite. I did get about $65 back. It's not that I didn't like the hotel; it was clean and quiet. I would have liked to have stayed in the room I reserved.

The staff very friendly and accommodating. They were doing work on it which we knew. Just not able to use the pool one day.

Breakfast was awful and way overpriced. Choice of buffet or menu. Two people=$33 for one buffet and one menu order. Both were terrible. Basically what you’d get at some hotel buffets for free. One of the breakfast staff was arguing with the other not to give me what I ordered (toast plus potatoes). Had to ask several times for basics (butter, knife). Not pleasant. Not helpful. Not cheap. Save your money.

Only issue was when we wanted to check out this AM...no one was at counter and had to wait about 15 minutes before someone came.

Room and property are clean and in a safe area. This is our go-to place to stay in the area when visiting friends.
