Spark by Hilton Fredericksburg Southpoint

We stayed here on the fly needing to pull off the road due to heavy rain. Well, I wish we had kept going or stayed anywhere else, as our room smelled like cat pee and we found a French fry under the bed. It just wasn’t as other reviews indicated. The breakfast had limited choices and not good at all and the staff was harsh and rude. This hotel felt chintzy and it felt like the hotel didn’t trust its guests with all the surveillance and video cameras. Was creepy like maybe even camera in the room. Felt like we were always being watched. We won’t stay at this brand of hotel again and it’s one of the few negative hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We don’t write negative comments, but feel people should be aware.

Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom looked like new. Great location. Not much for breakfast but we were only there for one night.

We liked the location- close to the highway- easy to get off- lots of restaurants around- the staff there were super friendly and happy people- made you feel welcome with big smiles- rooms were clean- lots of towels- it said breakfast was included and the bagel bar just wasnt cutting it- had to buy breakfast after we left- for a hilton hotel the hotel seemed run down - could not get any tv channels the next morning- all were unavailable to look for weather news- etc - frustrated about that- the fridge was not that great- not very cold- no freezer inside it - thought the pet fee was high- another hotel we were looking at which was booked was $50 for the night for two dogs- here it was $75 per night-

Nice location for us to stop after an 8 hour drive from Maine. Clean, well lit parking lot. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms.

Lovely newer hotel. Spacious room. Didn’t notice that the breakfast was continental, but that’s on me. Still a perk. Would stay again if we’re in town for soccer.

The stay was decent overall. The staff were friendly and the room was clean, which I, of course, appreciated. But the breakfast was a letdown. It was heavy on carbs, like bagels and cereal, with no hot protein options. Just hard-boiled eggs. If you're looking for a hot breakfast, just know that it's pretty limited.
