Lamberson Guest House

Staff was very friendly and knoweldgable. Provided happy hour drinks and joined in on the conversation. The rooms were updated and clean. Plenty of space and little treats were waiting for us. Breakfast was provided for all guests in a formal dinning room. It was a unique experience. The hosts also were available to make reservations if needed at local restuarants. The amount of stairs to get from the property to main street weren't clear upon booking. IF you have mobility issues, definitely check ahead.

First of all, let me say it was the host and the hostess that made this day so special. Secondly, the house was located perfectly with the stairs to the Downtown area and thirdly. The house itself was beautifully and lovingly done in an 1880s design. And last the accommodations the food at the breakfast and happy hour charcuterie were wonderful. Nothing could have been improved. Living in an older home myself, I really appreciated all the effort and great work that was put into maintaining this homes character.

The best B and B I have ever stayed at! The home is welcoming and comfortably/tastefully furnished. The hosts are more than accommodating and breakfast was absolutely delicious!

Such a beautiful historic home to enjoy. Chris was so gracious and accommodating; which we appreciated very much. We were so comfortable and felt pampered with the amazing breakfasts and afternoon parlor time snacks and conversations. Loved the view and opportunity to sit and rock on the front porch. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Home was beautifully decorated with all the right amenities. Hosts (Steph and Jeff ) were wonderful. Breakfast was very good. Nice touches of extras including wine wasting in afternoons. Town is unique and worth the visit. Would definitely stay there again. None

What a wonderful experience for our family. The owners are kind friendly and are incredible inn keepers. The breakfasts were amazing. Perfect place to stay in Galena.

The three course breakfast was fantastic, and the wine and charcuterie plate in the afternoon were an added bonus. The staff were very accommodating and spent time with us which made the experience great. Everything was perfect.

Stephanie and Jeff are superb hosts. Lamberson is great. We just found the central area of town very touristy, and, for the most part, the shops were below grade.

The house, bedroom, and bathroom were all beautiful, comfy, and in very good condition. The couple who run Lamberson Guest House were absolutely delightful, well-prepared, and thoughtful. They went above and beyond what we were expecting in making our getaway special, and there were so many amenities, including good food and drinks, and extra special touches that they have thought of – I've already been recommending them and their beautiful, cozy guest house to friends and family!

Resa and Chris are top-notch and very welcoming and full of warmth and interest in making people feel like they’re part of the family. We made some new friends and strong connection to the Lamberson Guest House this weekend. We’re already thinking about the future and returning with friends again soon! Thank you so much Resa and Chris for a wonderful stay in Galena! The only challenge is the stairs to climb down and back up from downtown area. But, the views are absolutely worth the climb.

Beautiful facility and amazing hosts

Jeff and Steph were wonderful hosts. We had last minute reservations on a holiday weekend and they were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious as well. Definitely a place we would stay at again. Isn't really anything we can complain about. It was a wonderful weekend.

It was our first bed and breakfast experience, the Lamberson Guest House did not disappoint. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. Our room was inviting and relaxing, a charcuterie tray and beverages were waiting for us each afternoon. The three course breakfast was a delicious feast each morning. The outdoor patio was the perfect place to visit with other guests and our hosts. We will definitely be visiting again.

We stay at a fair number of Bed and Breakfasts (and dozens of Hilton and Marriott hotels) each year and this was easily the best experience we have had. The house is beautiful and very nicely decorated, the location is great, but what sets it apart is the exceptional interaction with the owners/staff. We had wine and cheese each afternoon on the patio and got to know everyone. Absolutely nothing, everything was as close to perfect as I have experienced, and I travel worldwide for business.

During our weekend stay, we were served a three course breakfast each morning prepared by the owners. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I can't think of a thing.

Gorgeous place with absolutely unbelievable 3 course breakfast. We walked everywhere and the owners make you feel pampered. It felt like a fancy 5 star stay!

Chris and Resa run a wonderful B&B! The house itself is beautiful, and if you like seeing original architectural details of historic buildings, this is the place for you. Breakfast was delicious, and it was hard to pick what our favorite meal was. After a day of shopping on Main Street, it was nice to come back to the house for a charcuterie plate and cookies (both different every day!) and wine. My favorite touch was a homemade brownie waiting for us when we checked into our room - delicious!

The guest room had everything we needed with special touches added. The home was tastefully decorated. It was in a quiet part of town.
