Lamberson Guest House

The home and room were beautiful, home owners kind, location was fantastic, and food (3-course breakfast, happy hour with charcuterie plate, all day cookies, and beverages were all wonderful! Nothing-everything was great.

The staff was amazing and friendly, the room was beautiful and extremely clean, in the breakfast were delicious. Our host were helpful and friendly and available anytime we had a question.

Breakfast on both days was fantastic. 3 courses along with a coffee or mimosa if you would like. Fantastic location which looked down upon the Galena. Resa and Chris were great hosts and it was really nice talking amongst the other guests about what we had planned for the day. Absolutely no complaints. I could see where others who have difficulties with stairs (outdoor walk to Galena) but don't have access to a vehicle might not care for the location. However there are other ways of navigating the streets, calling an Uber, or getting great exercise if you are able to walk the stairs leading into town.

The breakfast was over the top. Homemade pastries, fresh fruit and an alternating sweet or savory third course depending on the day held us through to dinner. The location and parking was so easy. Everything was easy.

Staff was very friendly and knoweldgable. Provided happy hour drinks and joined in on the conversation. The rooms were updated and clean. Plenty of space and little treats were waiting for us. Breakfast was provided for all guests in a formal dinning room. It was a unique experience. The hosts also were available to make reservations if needed at local restuarants. The amount of stairs to get from the property to main street weren't clear upon booking. IF you have mobility issues, definitely check ahead.

First of all, let me say it was the host and the hostess that made this day so special. Secondly, the house was located perfectly with the stairs to the Downtown area and thirdly. The house itself was beautifully and lovingly done in an 1880s design. And last the accommodations the food at the breakfast and happy hour charcuterie were wonderful. Nothing could have been improved. Living in an older home myself, I really appreciated all the effort and great work that was put into maintaining this homes character.

The best B and B I have ever stayed at! The home is welcoming and comfortably/tastefully furnished. The hosts are more than accommodating and breakfast was absolutely delicious!

Such a beautiful historic home to enjoy. Chris was so gracious and accommodating; which we appreciated very much. We were so comfortable and felt pampered with the amazing breakfasts and afternoon parlor time snacks and conversations. Loved the view and opportunity to sit and rock on the front porch. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Home was beautifully decorated with all the right amenities. Hosts (Steph and Jeff ) were wonderful. Breakfast was very good. Nice touches of extras including wine wasting in afternoons. Town is unique and worth the visit. Would definitely stay there again. None

Exceptional

Chris and Resa run a wonderful B&B! The house itself is beautiful, and if you like seeing original architectural details of historic buildings, this is the place for you. Breakfast was delicious, and it was hard to pick what our favorite meal was. After a day of shopping on Main Street, it was nice to come back to the house for a charcuterie plate and cookies (both different every day!) and wine. My favorite touch was a homemade brownie waiting for us when we checked into our room - delicious!

The owners Resa and Chris were very accommodating, friendly and attended to all our needs. The breakfast's every morning was plentiful and very delicious. We will definitely stay again.

We were extremely impressed with our stay at the Lamberson Guest House. The room was probably the nicest that we have stayed in. The sheets and bedding were very comfortable. The breakfasts both days were incredible!! The hosts provided very nice snacks at 4 each day as well as excellent choices for both beer and wine. The hosts were also very friendly and took the time to get to know each of their guests.

Stephanie and Jeff were great hosts. The property has the prefect location overlooking Galena. The house has a lot of history and the rooms are large. The breakfast was amazing and was like a work of art. Thank you Stephanie for getting us a restaurant reservation on a busy weekend.

Lamberson guest house was the first bed and breakfast for me it exceeded all my expectations and I don’t think I’ll ever find another bed-and-breakfast that will be in the same class as the Lamberson House, Chris and Resa where amazing host,the three-course breakfast was amazing and the other guest were really fun to get to know, thanks again Chris and Resa and Terri and I Will definitely be back thank you James & Terri

Resa and Chris were amazing hosts. The three-course breakfast is amazing and the wine and cheese platter at 4pm was so nice! The house is beautiful and it was truly a lovely experience. I highly recommend staying here when you are in Galena!

Cozy, excellent breakfast, wonderful staff, and a great view. The room was very comfortable and the shower was spacious and enjoyable. Resa and Chris definitely did whatever they could to make the stay more enjoyable. I would highly recommend and would love to go back.

This property is in the PERFECT location - just steps away from everything downtown has to offer. Resa and Chris could not be more kind. They even helped my fiance pull off a last-minute proposal! Our rooms were immaculate, the food was delicious, and the grounds were lovely. We will be back.

We only stayed one night but had a wonderful experience. The room spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious. Michelle was an awesome hostess. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
