Gaylord is well known for its many world-class golf courses and is known as Golf Mecca. Many Golf Mecca courses are within 45 minutes of the hotel. The hotel offers customized golf packages at any of the local mecca courses. There are 400 miles of groomed snowmobile trails surrounding Gaylord that are directly accessible from the hotel. Boyne Highlands and Garland ski areas are within a 45-minute drive. Cross-country ski trails are also offered at all the local ski resorts. The Mackinac Bridge, and Turtle Creek, Odawa and Kewadin casinos are about one hour away. There are a wide variety of restaurants and cocktail lounges located in the area. The on-site restaurant and lounge, Gino's Restaurant, specializes in Italian cuisine and offers daily lunch and dinner specials. Mim.breakfast choices.no eggs of any kind. Wish I had read reviews before booking. Paid for 2 nights, left after 1st night. No refund.

Need a comfortable chair in the room

The swimming pool was disgusting. Dirty & green water. My grand children were very disappointed & only stayed in 5 minutes. Room was okay except for the tiny bathroom. The sink, toilet & bathtub were side by side, so close together plus the door into bathroom almost hit the toilet leaving very little room to move. However, the beautiful big lighted mirror was impressing. Our mistake, we thought breakfast was till 11 am. We got there a little before 9 & barely had time to get anything. It would have been nice if someone had asked if we wanted any more before they whisked it all away. Apparently senior citizen & handicap savings isn't something they offer. I am 80 years young & use a cane or walker. I realize it's summer/vacation time, but the room & our experience wasn't worth the price I paid. Sorry we won't go there again,

The room was updated and had a well appointed bathroom (however the door was warped and did not close) beds were comfortable with nice linen. Breakfast was almost all starches but clean and well stocked for what was offered. Our first floor room next to the back door lacked privacy as the curtains were in sad shape and the back door was left open almost every time we came through…. People were loitering and smoking there frequently.

The breakfast was okay, didn’t seem to be the freshest. Over all the room was clean and somewhat updated, it just needed to be finished updated. It was quite and easy to check in and out. Every staff person we came in contact with was very nice and polite.

Room has black mold in tub. Mattress is hard as a rock. Very noisy parking lot. Building is very old and needs a complete remodel. They updated the carpet and bathrooms but it is like putting lipstick on a pig.

Good price but…, unfortunately none of the amenities we’re available such as the pool or fitness room and the breakfast was fair

The hotel had a weird smell. It was ok for a 1 night's stay. You could definitely tell it was older and needing updates. Very limited breakfast of biscuits and gravy, muffins, waffles and apples.

I ll definitely bring a air matteress next time the bed was horrible the room had trash left in it the hallways where not vacuumed at all stairs was dirty

Room was not cleaned, checked into a dirty room place smelled like dog piss every where bed was not made up, was sent to best western after we checked in and found the room not cleaned. At midnight traveling with a toddler that was not something I wanted to do.
