tHE HOTEL IS OLD BUT RECENTLY UPDATED i GUESS. I discover how dirty the floor was after I spilled something and wiped it up with a washcloth the turned black. My husband's white socks. My footies were also black on the bottom. I threw them all away when we got home. There is a pool but no chairs and all the plants were dead. I would have liked to sit outside to read. I chose it for the location and that was a plus.

The free breakfast helped start the day, but was not exactly anything to write home about. I also found that begging for tips for the room staff, is extremely unprofessional. If the establishment feels that their staff deserves pay perks, then maybe they should consider sharing their own wealth, with the staff, instead of trying to guilt the patrons, who have already expended way too much money for what was offered, into subsidizing the staff's pay. That is just poor business, in my opinion.

This is the 2nd time we stayed here the rooms were cleaned every day the staff was very nice they have a decent breakfast coffee is nice & hot the rooms were spacious most things u can walk 2 from the hotel so save on gas & wear & tear on your car

This was a great hotel for my husband and I and our two small dogs. Our room was large and clean and well appointed. The only thing this hotel didn't have was hair conditioner, but was a tiny detail. The breakfast was the best Continental breakfast i think I've ever been to. There were a lot of options and it was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.

1863 Inn at Gettysburg was very clean. The breakfast was included and offered a variety of choices. The staff were polite and courteous. We were within 100 yards of one of the battle fields. When we go back to Gettysburg, we'll stay at 1863 Inn again.

Always l9ve staying at 1863. Lots of parking, fantastic location where you can walk anywhere- cemetary ridge, Mr Gs, down Baltimore, up Steinwehr. Fantastic breakfast buffet and clean comfortable rooms. Fun to stand on the balcony and watch the world.

The cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in! Very friendly staff, excellent food and service. Walking distance to downtown. Planning on staying there again!

I really enjoyed my stay and the truly were pet friendly to our dogs. The room was hot and it took a day or two for the A/C to catch up. It was amazingly close to alot of great restaraunts and gift shops.

I have stayed at the inn 3 times now. I don’t stay anywhere else. The location is perfect. You can walk almost anywhere within the town. Plenty of things to do.

Loved the breakfast and the location was great. Jogged around the battle field every morning, it was breathtaking.

Although the Hotel is not new, the room was very clean and some updates have been implemented. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is conveniently located to some restaurants and attractions. All in all a very nice overnight.

Great location, easily accessible. We walked to dinner at the Dobson House. This is a basic hotel, well maintained and very practical.

My dog was happy.

My wife and I arrived an hour before normal check-in. She was sick, vomiting, massive headache, and vertigo. The staff not only got us checked in early, but also gave us a room on the first floor to accommodate my wife’s situation. They continued to demonstrate concern for her well-being throughout and showed me how to get to urgent care.
