Very close to everything, great location!

Not Good: No staff at check in, which for us was late due to airline delays) but we did use messaging to let Brickhouse know. Still, very dark, and no person available when we got there. Would have been helpful to know which of the three front doors to go to to use codes. But its was trial and error in the dark. Paid extra for am breakfast that was cold and not appealing.

Great location. Room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!

I didn't like that they did not clean the room after we spend the night there. The toilet was not working well, but my husband fixed it. The manager was willing to fix it , but my husband did.

Rooms are clean and in character. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The Brickhouse Inn is a beautiful, historic property. We reserved a double (2 beds) room. We were pleasantly surprised to find 2 separate bedrooms, 1 with a queen size bed, the other with a twin. The bathroom was large and stocked with high quality products and towels. The room was meticulously decorated and immaculate. The grab and go breakfast downstairs was nice. There was oatmeal, bagels, muffins, coffee, tea, pastries and other light items. The Inn is in a fantastic location. You can walk out the door and find numerous restaurants, ice cream parlors and shops. Historical sites are nearby. Free parking was a plus. The only negative was that upon arrival, we didn't know how to get in the locked door. Luckily, there was an employee inside who coordinates ghost tours. At first, she was reluctant to help us, but eventually found out which room was ours and gave us instructions. It turns out that the property emailed instructions a few days before check in. Being that I had already been on the road for 10 days, I hadn't been checking my email. Overall, I would highly recommend this property.

This Bed and Breakfast was very nice. It was a pretty room, comfortable bed and convenient location. I liked that it was walking distance to the center of town and a short drive to the battlefields. They offer both a multi course sit down breakfast or a grab and go simpler breakfast. We needed to get on the road in the morning so we chose the grab and go. It was great, with ample choices of food. The sit down meal did smell delicious though!

We loved the location and accessibility to everything we wanted to do. The only negative was climbing to the 3rd floor room.

However, there was no evidence of staff, which gave it a very DIY feeling. No checkin. No checkout. I had to ask a guest for some help. I found the ice machine eventually. The grab-and-go breakfast seemed a little tired. However, the bed was the perfect blend of soft and firm. The linens were lovely. The air conditioning was very welcome.

Great place to stay, right near down town

It is in the middle of town and that's about it,no reception no welcome ,we were lucky the gift shop was open and there was someone there to tell us where our room was. The good thing about the room was that it was right beside the parking and that's the only good thing. It was dated, with spoty WiFi, loud AC and rotten stairs and bannister. How come nobody break a leg or worst I still don't understand.

The room was ok. Nothing too special but it had an attached sitting room with more space & a large bathroom. Odd again was the balcony off the bathroom. We couldn’t find a glass or plastic cup anywhere for a drink of water…or even a complimentary bottled water. One advantage was in the heart of the historic district. Disadvantage, it is a main business thoroughfare that was heavy with traffic & very loud. I would not choose to stay here again.

The inn is really well located and the garden is lovely. We stayed in the Delaware room and even though it lets out onto a busy street, it was quiet because the windows and doors are noise blocking. A real plus is the mini split in the room for AC or Heat. So often AC or heat are so noisy. This was whisper quiet and appreciated. The room is a bit worn and a teeny bit musty. It could use a freshening up. But it is spacious and we slept well. The grab and go breakfast option worked well for us but real cream, half and half, or milk would be appreciated for the coffee and tea. We detest coffee mate which is all that was available. BUT they do offer a guest fridge so we bought half and half and yogurts to supplement what they had to offer which was bagels, muffins, toast, oranges, apples, and instant oatmeal and snack bars, coffee and tea.

This is a great location! You can walk everywhere. We stayed in the Illinois Room and it was perfect. Mallory was very helpful when we tried to get in, but had the wrong code. I highly recommend this place! We did not have the breakfast, but I saw lots of reviews on how good it is.

Not enough parking and no staff on site. Nice comfortable bed and bath

I liked the swing on the front porch

Everything was clean and we really enjoyed the porch with the Delaware room. The tub is a bit high to step into (just an fyi), but the shower was nice. I recommend bringing your own shampoo etc ( we did) as they have a shampoo/body soap in one dispenser that really does not go with the rest of the room. The rest of the room was really cute and of the time period, the soap dispensers just stuck out. We received a text with the entry code with no problem and did not do breakfast, so we did not really encounter staff to give a rating to, this is the reason for the neutral rating. The room was clean and comfortable and we slept well. The parking does require going down some stairs, just something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. The location is great for walking around town and very near the cemetery and battlefield. It was a nice stay.

Grubby, lack of staff, no water in the water cooler at 8:30am. There was no staff to be found. The "take away" breakfast consisted of mealy out of season apples and an orange. Instant oatmeal, but no water or milk. The pastry shelf had the same sad muffins and coffee cake from the day before. Property is run down and it's loud .The staff were clueless when it came to basic questions. You should not be allowed to claim yourself a bed and breakfast if you charge 18$ for paltry offering. Much nicer places to stay.

This place was amazing, located right in the heart of Gettysburg! The rooms were clean, bathroom had everything you would need. Snacks were available 24/7. The host was very nice! I’d definitely come back

Wonderful stay. For me the bed is one of the most important things. It was wonderful.
