Staff is friendly and curtious.

Unfortuntely we booked with Expedia and they communicated with us. Your facility did not receive our responses for the breakfast. Disappointed with that communication. Our stay was very nice.

A very laid back B&B with a great, authentic Gettysburg vibe. The staff was extremely kind and helpful the very few times I needed them. I struggled with the front door code, not sure if that was completely on my end or if the mechanism needs updated. Definitely planning another visit in the future.

Charming bed and breakfast in downtown Gettysburg main street. Close by other attractions and restaurants. Cozy and well decorated with a very comfortable bed.

The house is decorated with period furniture that makes it special.

The place was very clean and the breakfast was good. It was nice they had coffee all day.

The room/accommodation was lovely. Communications were not so good if you try and call or message the staff. We did not get a WIFI password until day two. The breakfast nook was available 24/7 with items for a free continental breakfast. I don’t recommend paying $20 for their gourmet breakfast which we had on our day of check out. Fried potatoes appeared to be prepared a day ahead and were very dry. Not worth the price. Location is ideal for walking around historical Gettysburg and short drive to the Visitors Center and Battlefields. Another note to consider- this hotel is the meeting location for Ghost Tours that take groups out around the town every hour so it’s noisy with chattering up until 10:00pm. Our room happened to be one floor above the gathering area. I recommend the Brick house Inn as long as you don’t need to contact staff during off hours and select a room away from the tour group location. Go with the continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious with a lanai to sit on outside the room. Very authentic and Historical.

We stayed in the California suite. It was very nice when we walked in. We didn't spend much time in the room. Bed was ok for comfort. The biggest problem was the mold on the bathroom ceiling. It was covered with it. To make matters worse, someone tried cleaning it and smeared it all over the ceiling. The room was empty clean at first view, but dust bunnies and dirt was in corners and behind furniture. We will not be back to this location again.

Highly overrated. Asked for a period room and was put in the California Room. Depressing and void of the period room atmosphere; more like an after thought. Lights didn’t work, lock questionable. When I threatened to leave I was given a period room due to a cancellation.

We enjoyed our stay!! The location was perfect and the charm of the home was on point!! Will be booking again!

Historic property in Civil War era buildings. Well maintained for such an old building, but no modern amenities. It’s in the heart of the Gettysburg battle zone and very walkable to famous sites with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Info in the room was helpful.

Laurie & Brian are excellent hosts and incredible problem solvers!

I would advise first time guests to carefully examine documents that are provided in order to familiarize themselves with the entry procedures and parking location. I was prepared for the entry, but missed the parking entry initially. The parking is actually very convenient. Just totally first rate!

Charming old Victorian house. We loved our room, although lugging our suitcases up the two flights was a bit challenging! The location was perfect!

We are repeat guests at the Brickhouse and understand it has changed ownership since our last visit to Gettysburg. The format of this BnB has also changed and guests are largely left alone during their stay as there is little interaction with staff. Guests are expected to follow emailed instructions sent prior to arrival and find their room with keys hanging in their room. To us, this strays from the typical experience one might expect when staying at a bed and breakfast. As for breakfast, we feel they should abandon the “grab and go” and just price in the full breakfast. We understand it’s more work—but that’s what separates a BnB from a complimentary breakfast with limited choices at a hotel. The room was clean and overall our experience was good regarding our stay—we just feel there’s room for making it a better experience and more personable for guests.

I stayed at a property beside the Brookside Inn called The Welty House built in 1838. Beautiful room and accommodations - Highly recommend!
