The staff was nice. But the condition of the bathroom in the rooms are terrible.

no coin machine in the laundry room; I did not get around to asking if the staff would make change as they would not extend my stay past the two nights I booked online. I am known to law enforcement to be the victim of a crime and local police came by my room twice to talk to me; I was told the cops were there "three" times, after staffers sent paramedics I hadn't called to my room at 11 pm and I went downstairs to ask to stay another night, at which point I was told "we don't want the cops here." THE ROOM WAS BEAUTIFUL FOR THE PRICE POINT; I stayed two more nights at a much crappier motel across town for the same dollars per night and would have happily sacrificed location for comfort (much of my business was closer to Airline) as the room at the Highland Inn had a working bathtub, clotheshangers, and meaningful furnishings, also a hairdryer and coffeemaker and in general a higher standard of expectations. I appreciated that they are realistic about smoking; there is no smoking in the rooms but each pair of exterior doors has a metal canister ashtray on the wall between them underneath a light sconce, and the message is clear. I was not in town to watch television and did not spend more than one minute trying to figure out where the HDMI port was on my unplugged TV, and that is my only other complaint about the room itself

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was centrally located with many restaurants & other facilities close by. The room rate was very reasonable.
