SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Grand Island

No record of having booked two rooms. They just had us down for one. Took a couple of hours to get it straight. Rooms smelled, one was so bad we changed to another. Bathroom door would not clear the toilet so their solution was to carve out part of the door edge so the door would open. Light switch plate was canted about 30 degrees. Thread bare sheets, tiny pillows, and terribly uncomfortable bed. Halls so dark you couldn’t see the card key pad. Only upside was the breakfast.

Our door did not lock and, in general, the room was mediocre at best. BUT the evening staff went way above and beyond. She’s the only reason for the five.

Friendly staff, safe, clean. AC works great, no issues with the room. Great place for the value during shows at Fonner Park!

Was nice for the price. Clean and good coffee & breakfast. Only problem we had is when we returned to our room every night our key wouldn’t work.

Super clean, helpful staff. Beds were uncomfortable. Pool water was a decent temp, but the air conditioned room with no sunlight made it uncomfortable cold to swim.

No hot tub

During our check-in, the manager noted my mother’s senior age and use of cane and immediately pointed out that our 2nd floor room would be difficult for her to reach as there is no elevator on site. She then immediately switched our room to the first floor. We truly appreciated Bonny’s proactive approach and flexibility immensely. We had a standard room w 2 queen beds which was very clean (and had just been deep cleaned). The room is a tad small and the bathroom very small (kinda hard to close door without stepping into the tub), but otherwise excellent for the price. Staff members were very kind and responsive. The air conditioning worked great and was easy to adjust. Finally, the hot breakfast included cheese omelettes, brown-n-serve type sausage links, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, packaged pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. We ate breakfast at the hotel both days which we have not always done when hotel breakfast offerings are poor. For the fully taxed price of $111/night, we were very pleased with our stay and believe we received a good value. We would recommend this hotel as offering great price/value.

This is a great place to stay that won't break the bank. Breakfast is a great add and there is variety. The pool is clean. The staff is friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Bathroom is terrible small if you seating on the toilet and want to close or open the door you will have to stand up to be able to close the door , sink is extra small , towels where old one of the towels had holes on it haha . But front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. I probably will find me a different place for next time visit. Ahh one more thing breakfast was good and the lady that was preparing it is very friendly.

Hello, I had an issue with the door locking and the gal at the front desk had the manager resolve the issue very quick. I was impressed by the response time and will definitely be staying at this location again..

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was great. Breakfast was hot and had good protein and fruit options. It seems like they are working on room updates because some things were updated and some things could have used updating. No bugs, dead or alive.

The hotel is an older hotel. Very small bathroom but clean. They offered a good breakfast. Very good Mexican restaurant across the street. Our only major complaint was the smell in our room. It smelled like a dog and was very evident each time you entered the door.

Friendly, helpful host(s). Room was clean. Nothing fancy but most adequate, especially when considering the very reasonable rate and the inclusion of hot breakfast. Would stay there again.

It’s just Ok. It’s safe and quiet and on a busy street with plenty of food options. The room was not as maintained as other best westerns i’ve been too. not bad, just not great.
