Motel 6 Grand Junction, CO

At check-in the clerk advised the room did not have air-conditioning but didn't give a reason why. The website advertised the property as being air-conditioned. When we stepped in to the room we nearly tripped over a box fan that was set just a few inches inside the door. There was no window screen so could not leave it open to get fresh air. Even with the fan running all night it was too warm for sleep. There was an open hole in the wall with exposed wires. The room was clean and the beds were more comfortable than expected.

Nothing. Refused the rooms due to no air conditioning and they were almost 100 degrees inside at 9:30PM. Made my reservation thru booking.com. we were visiting Colorado National Monument and booked the hotel in the late afternoon and had confirmations and received an email from the hotel confirming the reservation. We visited CNM purposely in the evening to take advantage of the different colors and shadows. We arrived at the hotel around 8:30 to 9 PM and were told the only rooms available had no air conditioning. I could accept those or wait for the manager to arrive with portable a/c units. Well things devolved after that and by 9:30 PM it became apparent the rooms wouldn't have a/c for at least an hour after that. I had never been talked to the way I had been and was actually told that it was my fault. We refused the rooms and had to find other arrangements that late at night . It was bad enough that I also lodged a complaint with Motel 6 corporate office.

Exceptional

The state of the room was revolting and unacceptable for any guest. The accommodations were filthy, with visible stains scattered throughout the room, dead moths, and most alarming of all, active bed bugs. Discovering pests in a hotel room is a serious hygiene and health concern. Given the atrocious service and horrific cleanliness standards, I strongly advise other travelers to avoid staying at this property.

We were looking for a place simply to get a good night's rest since we were leaving early in the AM to get back on the road. I booked the non-refundable reservation before reading the last month's reviews. I was a bit weary since they were mostly negative. Fortunately, the "no frills" room was very clean, the AC machine worked well and the parking lot was in great shape. Thank you for making our quick stay restful!

This motel is very rundown and uncomfortable. We were given a room with no AC and no towels. After request we received 2 rough towels. The bed was so uncomfortable that I retrieved my camping pads to lay on top in order to sleep. The room was spartan and shabby. At least the location was decent.

Check in lady was so rude !!! Told me that I should probably cancel my booking and stay somewhere else.. just cause she was in a bad mood. Mind u I had already paid for a two day stay for my son's parents weekend event he had for cmu.. and she put me in a room with no working ac. And it was dirty didnt look clean at all. No towels to shower when I asked her for towels she said there were all out of clean ones. Lol it was a mess. Ill never stay at this hotel ever again ever

Room was cleaned. Checked in at 4:30 was told we had to wait but lucky done just got done. The staff is clueless parking lot has Hugh sink holes

Front desk lady first night was aloof and acted bothered. Lady second night was friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is gross and unsafe. Flooring was warped, peeling and dirty. Wiped the floor with a damp towel and it turned it black. The bottom of the door was warped and had a half inch gap between the door jamb, which allowed exhaust from vehicles in the parking lot into the room, and could clearly hear any conversation in the parking lot. The AC was a portable unit, with an exhaust hose vented out the window. Because the window was a sliding window, the window could not be locked and could be opened from the outside. I had to find a pole/stick to wedge it and prevent it from opening. The toilet leaned to the left. The shower was nasty. The vending machine took my money when I tried to get a water.

There was no AC available and the window was broken. The room was extremely dirty and full of bugs. In addition, the staff at check-in was extremely unprofessional and did not care about my experience. She said because I booked with a third party she was not responsible. Her customer service skills and communication style made the experience negative and I felt inequitable. everything and especially the check-in staff and room's cleanliness
