Motel 6 Gresham, OR - Portland

The maid also told me to clean up my own room as I had a service dog and I’m not sure what she expected, but he did not make a mess nor did I even over three days as I’m a clean person, and I had already bagged up my garbage and made sure that everything was good for her as I worked in a hotel for eight years, but the attitude was unnecessary and I didn’t need to be pushed out as I had to go across the street to use the restroom because I wasn’t even given grace shortly after 11 to use the bathroom before I left

But then I found out that the ceiling in the bathroom seems to have a yellowy spotted something all over it that has hair stuck to it, dark pieces of long hair on the ceiling, but apart from that, it was OK. Although for a motel six, the cleaning ladies are sure pushy as exactly 11 o’clock my last two days, the maid came exactly at 11 o’clock and the first night I had already booked another night but the second night I was actively getting ready and putting my stuff outside to take to my car and she said five minutes and then continue to come back each couple minutes and tell me to hurry up so I mean by 1110 she was very heated because I need to use the bathroom before I left. She also made it clear that I was to clean up my own room because I had a service dog although my room was not dirty. I simply didn’t get housekeeping for three days but that doesn’t mean that my room is a mess. I left the room nice there was nothing that was messed up But the pressure and the absurd nature that I am to clean my own room and put all my trash together and all this was at instruction by her without seeing my room stop me in my tracks as I’ve never in my life heard of something like this nor have I ever been treated so pushy with being five or 10 minutes late to check out without a couple minutes to use the bathroom

I arrived and had to wait in the lobby for 20mins no one was answering the phone then the man at the desk was rude he did not ask me my preference as far as upstairs or downstairs, had an attitude that he had to do his job then handed me my room key and told me my room number like I had been there before I had to ask how to get to my room, the water never got hit just like warm the carpet in the hallway smelt stale and like mildew, the bed sheets were brown like they were stained luckily I had my own never again. They need remodel and take up the carpet for what I paid I was dissatisfied and disappointed nevragain the only thing I enjoyed about my stay was the distance from my job.

The room was clean. But that was it. It lacked any type of light source in the main room. I asked the front desk for a lamp and he looked at me like I was crazy. Said I c I ylsb

The staff were very friendly and they keep the hotel well kept and clean.

Preoccupied staff at check-in. The bed was the absolute worst thing I’ve ever laid on. The room was dirty and there were people smoking drugs besides the building

The property is your typical cheap motel with low quality fixtures, bedding, towels, paint job, etc. We actually had water leaking from the light above the toilet and when I called the front desk they looked into it immediately. It's a dog friendly hotel but there wasn't really a dog potty area or even a grassy area. Not really in a safe area. Homeless woman with mental health issues was topless and having an episode in the parking lot and that didn't feel safe. Room was fairly spacious and bedding seemed clean. Floor made my feet black. Missed room cleaning one day because I was in the room when they checked but they never came back. Was a decent price if you just need a place to sleep and you're not picky.

The stairwell to get to my room was disgustingly dirty. The handrail and doors looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the Bush administration. Just nasty. The doors from the lobby to the hotel were "broken" so you had to walk around to an outside entrance, in a sketchy back lot. It was a huge PITA if you had dogs since you could not leave your pets in your room or in your car. (WTF are you supposed to do - carry everything in one trip??)

Room was nice. Property was quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only thing missing for me would be coffees available in the room, but for the price of the room it was great. Elmer's restaurant on same property so you didn't have to go far for coffee or breakfast. There was also Starbucks and Dutch Bros within less than a mile. Will stay there again next time I go to Gresham.

Our room was very nice and seemed to have been updated recently. I was worried about the mattress but I slept great. Also, the shower needs some attention but it worked. We’ll be back!

I was able to get a room on the ground floor without any problems.

The room was adequate and clean. The beds had creaking springs. The bathroom looked like it was being renovated but it was unfinished. The parking lot was fine. Didn't use the laundry. The staff in the front desk were friendly. Mary Lou checked us in and she was great. The other staff, a young man and an older man were both pleasant.

Motel was clean, and the staff was great. Still one of the best places to stay for the money.
