Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The property is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. Considering you are staying in such a beautiful place in which you most-likely want to see the outdoors, I found the lighting in the rooms as well as privacy options to be not great. Theres either a completely opaque shade you can have for privacy that makes the room completely dark in daytime, or just the open window which looks in on bed and it's a tight space. Not much of a difference between day and night if you want to change, or just see out a bit.it'd be nice to still see some nature while also not being so exposed while you sleep or change, etc. I really wished there was an in between option, like a sheer curtain. My room was also close to the road and you could hear the traffic outside, which wasn't my favorite. I would stay again, but request a different room beforehand.

My room was cozy, clean, and had a private deck where I enjoyed my morning coffee while listening to the birds. The pool was a great place to relax, and the entire property was well maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming, The location is perfect, with easy access to the Russian River, Armstrong Redwoods, and nearby cafés and restaurants. It was the perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and recharge.

It was peaceful, perfect for us trying to get away from busy city living. The place was beautiful, surrounded by towering redwood trees. Stayed midweek, restaurant was closed. We had easy access to outside restaurants though downtown.

Peace and quiet in this place.
-
Beautiful grounds set amongst the redwoods. Very convenient access to the downtown.

Property is pretty. Staff was fine. Some beautiful areas with rose bushes etc. cottage rooms are small for the price
-
You will enjoy the ambiance, food and amenities.
-
Very friendly and helpful staff

The pool is not just for guests, anyone can buy a pass, so we paid a fair amount of money for a busy pool that anyone can access next to the road, the town is a run down town, not worth to stay there for the town, spa all booked, restaurant full, the room is cute, but i don’t need to pay to look at the wall cause there’s no really much to do.

Cute cabin, great bed. Cozy little LED lantern.

Our stay at Dawn Ranch had several highlights. The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained, providing a great atmosphere. The cottages are comfortable and "nice," and we found the on-site restaurant to be excellent. The Warning (The "Free" Wine Tasting): Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a very misleading "free wine tasting" partner event. Having done many tastings in Sonoma and Napa, we expected a standard flight or variety. Instead, it felt like a bait-and-switch: * Misleading Portions: The initial "tasting" was barely a drop. When we returned for a second round, the server poured a significantly larger amount (more than half a glass). We assumed she was being generous or finishing a bottle. * Hidden Charges: At no point were we informed of a fee. However, we were later charged $20 per glass for those second pours. * Poor Value: Paying $20 for a single glass of a wine that retails for $25 a bottle nearby felt fraudulent, especially when advertised as a complimentary guest perk. Verdict: Go for the scenery and the food, but be extremely wary of the "free" perks. Clarify every cost upfront to avoid the "weird" and unprofessional service we encountered at the bar.

There was dog waste on the gravel path around the back of our cabin. WiFi was incredibly spotty. I shared my feelings about all of the above with guest services and there was nothing done to make our stay better.

This property would be exceptional if it added additional touches such as robes, slippers, working fireplaces, and retouched rooms. Walls and doors were scuffed throughout, just needed some TLC. Grounds are gorgeous and enjoyed food at restaurant.

Service in breakfast is slow, their process to order is not good as it makes it slow and tedoous

Cabin cleanliness was not excellent but acceptable. The staff at the restaurant were really nice and professional but the spa receptionist was impolite and dismissive. This was a bummer because we were on a girls' trip and spa was supposed to be a big part of it but we had to do something else because the behavior we encountered at the spa when we went to inquire about services for the next day was not acceptable.

The Cabin and spa The staff were rude and sassy, didn’t like the way they treated us

We loved the property, amenities and friendly staff.

The property is adorable- cozy, rustic but high end. The event activities (yoga) are also wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property with great amenities and excellent customer service. We went for my partner's birthday and had a fabulous time. We will be back!
