However, there were other issues I took exception to: The elevators from the lobby are not clearly marked. The doors are covered by giant ads and do not look like an elevator. The room was poorly laid out. When you first come inside, there is the small entryway and bathroom like most hotel rooms. But then there is the bed and a large bench at the foot of it. If you bring in the luggage caddy, you can't get all the way in, thus blocking that entryway and anyone following. A better solution would be to put the bed and bench closer to the big water-view window -- essentially flip the room's layout. The fridge was under a table behind a cabinet door, which is fine. However, ours was not cold. Not even on my hands and knees could I see to adjust the controls. And the shower was stopped up. It was still standing in the morning after I took a shower the night before.

The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had the view overlooking the marina which was also very nice. I would stay here again .

This was hotel was nasty, stained sheets ,stains on the chairs ,dirty bathroom, filthy floors just nasty!

Good cost / benefit. The hotel is clean, nice restaurant, but not enough staff. Nothing bad, I would stay there again

The view was wonderful. The room was big, the bed was great and the bathroom was clean. One young staff member who worked the morning shift was very kind amd made me feel at home I got to hotel early (1am) and had to sleep on the couch four hours because they said there were no rooms available for early check in. That was not the issue. I clearly had a reservation so they could have offered me a blanket and/or pillows when they saw me freezing instead they just watched me suffer. I did end up getting sick a few days later.

It seems like on the weekends this hotel becomes the "Party Hotel". No sleep from 9pm-4am. Every hour or so guests came up to our floor and were slamming their doors, talking loudly and then probably go down to the bar for drinks then come back up and the routine started all over again. The pool is being converted to either a dance floor or additional party space. Also, the parking garage for the hotel is very sketchy, day and night. Expedia said that I will receive a full refund but... I'm still waiting.

This time was a great disappointment 😞. Checking in went cool this is the 1st time I paid for parking. The floor was nasty & the amount of dogs are the property were ridiculous. The room fridge didnt work, the bathroom floor and the fixtures were broken, about to fall off and just raggedy. Bathroom floors needs to be mopped, the sink was clogged, mail showerhead didn't spray water off , so we substituted it with the detachable, rack for the towel that was attached to the sink was broken (just placed up there) & the cosmetic mirror was barley holding on. Overall within the span of 6months this property had gone down.

It’s on the water. But we didn’t have a water view. We were at the front of the building. We had a lot of street noise and people slamming doors all night. I will always request a room on the back from now on.

This was a great hotel back in its time. The upkeep is terrible. The room that we had the air conditioning was so noisy, the furniture was worn. The windows were filthy. The staff was courteous but this hotel needs renovation. The location is perfect for doing things downtown Hampton but the hotel needs to be kept better. The garage elevator was not working when we got there. Both me a d my husband (with bad knees) had to take the stairs. Would I stay there again? Unless they do some renovation I would probably stay there because of convenience to the University and it's surroundings

The property looks like it has not had any TLC in sometime. You are paying for the location only.

Our shower only had scalding hot water. The maid service was sub par.
