Super 8 by Wyndham Harrisburg Hershey West

Very basic outdated - no lobby locked behind glass front desk - slept for 8 hrs and left

The carpet hadn't been vacuumed, the tile grout in bathroom was black like mold. Breakfast was meager, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, instant cocoa. coffee was good and hot. toast and butter, bananas, and some prepackaged hostess donuts.Staff was helpful and friendly. parking was good

Close to amenities ,priced fair ,lots of parking free wifi,friendly staff. Stayed three nights no housekeeping to even leave soap shampoo towels empty garbage.

My room was clean, Staff was nice and helpful. Neighborhood was quiet. I had no issues during my stay

Great stay close to Hershey park, coffee was delicious. Clean sheets, towels and rooms were not outdated and all in good shape. Friendly and helpful staff!

The property is less thsn 3 stars. Property is not as it is advertised. It is run down. Room not that clean bath tubs dirty. One microwave for the WHOLE property none in rooms.

Rooms dirty toilet didn't work. Breakfast was very basic.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, breakfast not great- cereal. We took a pass and headed to a local restaurant. The room was clean but not in great shape- burn hole in arm chair, room was dated, terrible paint job, bathroom tile grout needs replaced due to mildew stains.

I was in town for a concert, so I needed a place to sleep. This covered that for us at a decent price. Its not an updated hotel, but its clean and quiet.

I stayed for one night to do business in the area, the bathroom wasn't cleaned well, there was hair all over the sink and counter, the grout in the shower turned black in the corners from mold and couldn't watch the television because the wifi prompt was blocking the screen and couldn't get it off. All that being said the bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice.

Bed was comfortable that’s about all the good I have to say.

The beds themselves were fantastically comfortable and the availability of an exterior entrance and exit on the side of the building my room was closer to as an alternative to the main entrance was appreciated for me being able to park closer to that side entrance and have less distance to carry things back and forth from the room and settling in for the night after the day of work at the trip was for The check-in experience was greatly hampered by a policy specific to this individual Super 8 that is buried in the small fine print of the booking but being buried as deep as it is caught me off guard in addition to two other separate guests checking in at the same time that I observed. Even if the room is paid in advance as my own reservation was with a credit card on file the property still requires $100 deposit upon check in on top of the rate whether it is a cash customer or a customer with a major credit card on file and a prepaid room. The deposit was returned without issue but I like the people checking in at the same time as me we're all caught off guard by it and both of them and I actually had to step away from the check-in process and make individual arrangements to secure that unexpected deposit. I selected this hotel for a combination of its closer location to where I was working and also it's budget friendly rate, and that second abstract is likely why a majority of visitors select a budget hotel and individuals embracing Budget Hotels are individuals that have more finite Financial Resources and if they are not expecting to have to have an additional $100 they can spare for a few days for that deposit hold then they face what I faced and the potential of going to check in at hotel hundreds of miles from my home and getting lucky with being able to make individual Arrangements for that deposit but if I had not been able to make those arrangements then I would have been left without a place to stay for the night that was prepaid in full. I definitely understand Hotel policies are individual to properties and I embrace their discretion as individual businesses but the lack of transparency in that policy being so completely buried in the fine print is something I will keep very close eye out on future bookings through booking.com and will definitely preclude me from selecting this individual property again on any future visits to Harrisburg

Love that they have fridges in room and appear to have done some upgrades. Location is ok. Staff was great and very helpful. Towels were not postage stamp size and were very soft and lots of TV channels for a very relaxing weekend away with family.

Rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable.

We loved it!

Staff was polite and responsive, had ample self parking which was good. The location is near to Hershey’s, so travel is easy. Restaurants are near. Rooms had no fresh air, it kind of smelled stale, lights being switched off automatically. Toilet seats in the bathroom needs a change. Bathroom needs major renovation. Breakfast options were very limited to oatmeal packets, cereals, bread. Went with family, not a memorable stay. Would not visit once again.
