Really quaint hotel and a great value! The building was spotless, and the staff was very friendly. The room itself was quite nice, and it was a new experience to be in a hotel this small. I really enjoyed my stay at that hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised at just how nice it was. The rooms were also very nicely decorated. The hotel is also a short walk from the Hazlet train station. Not at all the hotel's fault, but the area it is in is both very full of things and not at the same time. If you have a vehicle, this will not be an issue for you, as everything is very connected via car; walking, however, is a different story, as there is no easy way to cross the street due to the concrete highway barricades. Despite this, it is an easy walking distance to the train station!

It was SO NICE TO BE IN A COZY OWNER-RUN COUNTRY place. The antique automobiles and the story about them were just great, The two gentlemen who were on duty were also wonderful. While we had coffee in our room, we wished there were a little place in the lobby with a coffee bar and some pastries. The value was great, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. We loved The Country Inn! If we find ourselves back in the area, we would stay there again. Super clean, easy parking, convenient location and very friendly staff. A quiet, peaceful place with nice country style decor. AC worked great, pre-bagged ice available for guests, beautiful desk in our room, and a rocking chair. Highly recommend!

- Privately run hotel with colonial style furnishings makes for a pleasant stay. - Spacious Room was spotlessly clean - even behind the furniture and around the edges. - Comfortable bed with firm mattress - Refrigerator in the room with a separate freezer. No microwave, but there is one in the lobby area for regular use. - Friendly and helpful staff. - Good Location - easy access to the Garden State Pkwy and Rt's 35 & 36. Walking distance to the NJ Transit station for access to NYC or shore beaches. Several places to eat that are walking distance. Fantastic ShopRite supermarket nearby. - HDTV with good picture quality and good selection of cable TV channels - WiFi worked well - Nice size bathroom with a decent amount of shelf space for toiletries. Shower had good water pressure. - Windows open for fresh air Cons: There is no breakfast included, but that is not critical for me. Other than that, none that I can think of. I will be returning for future visits.

Everything about our stay was great. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the price was very affordable compared to other options.
