Candlewood Suites HAZLETON by IHG

Just need to pay attention to detail in maintaining the rooms/property.

Exceptional

Check in was very fast. Room was equipped with what we needed. Front desk staff was very helpful.

room 106 had 4-5 small live beetles by the dresser and spider webs there & in the closet. Floor hadn't been vacuumed in a while either. The room was nicely furnished with a full size fridge, sink & 2 burner oven top. Bathroom was roomy. Parking was adequate, AC worked good, but was on the noisy side. Staff was polite & easy to deal with,

The room was not the cleanest. Definitely needs updated. We found hair all over the bathroom and a hair in the bed, which tells me the sheets are not being changed. Had to change rooms twice. Happy I only had to stay there one night.

No real issues, staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff were friendly and accommodating and our check in was very quick and easy. There was a problem with the toilet in the first room we were given but the front desk staff took care of the issue very promptly and professionally. The cleanliness of the room was okay but the floor could have been mopped a little better.

The room was very nice, it had a decent size fridge, small kitchen area with utensils and pots/pan. We only stayed one night so didn’t need that but if you’re looking to stay for several nights in a row I can see how convenient that kitchen area would be. I also enjoyed the small recliner with tv tray table too. I’d definitely stay at another hotel of this chain.

No breakfast at this lodging. No pool here either. Room was quiet. TV VOLUME bass was set too high & made an annoying booming sound. Toilet flushing was odd & loud. Staff very courteous & helpful. Have a breakfast. Check. Toilet operation lower the bass on the TV.

Nice place to stay. We had our dog with us and he felt very confortable . The outside property has a clean backyard where he was able to walk and stretch after a long ride in the car. We had a beautiful view out of our room.

Superb

Nothing special. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and creaky, but manageable for one night. Good kitchen features for an extended stay, I didn't pay attention when booking, so I was surprised to find they offer NO breakfast at all. I don't' remember the last time I stayed anywhere with that feature!

While the property had a pleasant appearance it was negated by the horrible smells. I presume the causation was due to their pet policy. We were on the 1st floor. The entire hallway had a strong musty cat smell. We nearly canceled our stay as our room had an overwhelming odor of urine but we didnt get in until late. This property should thoroughly reconsider their pet policy or mitigate the residual stench.
