My Place Hotel-Las Vegas South Henderson

This experience I i I specifically booked this hotel because it advertised and allowed me to reserve an accessible room with a roll-in shower for my elderly mother, who is wheelchair-dependent and has severe mobility limitations. We drove approximately five hours through the desert to Henderson, and having a roll-in shower was not a luxury—it was a medical necessity. When we arrived, we walked into her room and noticed it was not the accessible room we had reserved. We were told it was not available because it had been rented to another guest for the past six months. Instead, we were given room with a traditional bathtub/shower that my mother could not safely use. Because we had already driven for hours and had appointments scheduled, we didn’t have the time or energy to search Henderson for another accessible hotel late in the day. We felt we had no practical choice but to stay. My mother also has incontinence issues, making it especially important that she be able to shower after a long day of travel. Because the hotel failed to provide the accessible room we specifically reserved, she was unable to shower that evening or the following morning. This caused unnecessary stress, discomfort, and embarrassment. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s response afterward. Expedia contacted the hotel and requested that they authorize a refund, explaining the circumstances. The hotel refused, stating that because

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. I wanted to say a thank you to Devlin for helping me. He was able to assist me in my time of need unbeknown to him. Had a great experience. Thank you to all the other staff as well.

I wish there would be a complimentary breakfast as we always have to seek out somewhere to eat and it adds another $40 to our stay.

The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and provided the information of what is not provided in the hotel room which helped us prepare for the stay.

Love this property. Very friendly staff. I like the kitchen but be prepared because there wasn’t any dishes.

If you get the north side rooms there is a great view of the Las Vegas Strip and Sphere. Check in was easy and fast. They have a well stocked amenities counter. The room was clean, welcoming and roomy. A desk, recliner, small closet, kitchenette and queen bed still felt roomy. Restaurants are close and there are a few they’ve partnered with to give you a discount. Ask for a coupon from the front desk. It is a six minute drive to St. Rose Dominican Hospital which was why we were there.

Hotel is new and clean. Everything in good working order.

Very new and clean chose this hotel as advertised as having kitchenette. Not so microwave so small hard to heat up food and no plates or utensils. Maybe we missed the fine print "kitchenette available. " The refrigerator was great normal size but unfortunately could not use the stored food we had. Very clean and in quiet location

The kitchen had no pots, pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, or glasses. So, I don't know if they expect you to buy what you need. Usually there's a few things to cook with and a couple of place settings to eat on when you have a small kitchen. Everything was extremely clean. The freezer had an ice maker, which was really nice, you turn it on when you enter the room. The mattress was good quality along with the bedding. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. It was nice and quite because it was tucked in the back of a small shopping complex with restaurants, so it was no where near the busy road you drive in on. The A/C worked great. They had smart TV's, so you were able to log into YouTube from your phone. Free WIFI. I don't know what channel package they had for the TV because I just watched YouTube. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Only issue was GPS gave inaccurate directions. It said to take S. Maryland Pkwy then E. Levi Ave. which led to deadend. Had to look at map to determine sensible route.

I kept hearing suitcases or some weird noice and thought it was next door. Finally figured out that it was the front sliding door opening and closing. Very annoying when trying to sleep.
