Clean rooms excellent staff would definitely stay there again

Very nice hotel but expensive! Get your wallet ready.

-First, the beach itself was disgusting with seaweed everywhere. Only a few brave souls were actually in the water, wading through massive amounts of seaweed. I understand there is nothing you can do about the seaweed in the water, but the resort could have at least removed it from the sand instead of just letting it accumulate there. -Second, the pools were PACKED with people. It was so gross, the water felt like I was in a hot tub. The adult pool area was not any better. Little kids were in the adults' pool, no place to sit, and guests were blasting their music for everyone to hear. It often felt like I was at a Motel 6. For as much as this place costs, I will not be returning.

Service was amazing from Whitney to Shawntria to the pool managers, everything was spectacular.

The experience exceeded my expectations in every way, and I would not hesitate to stay here again. I would especially like to thank Teodoro, who was always available, attentive, and willing to help with anything I needed. His professionalism, kindness, and positive attitude truly made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Diplomat Beach Resort to anyone looking for an exceptional hotel experience.

The pools were amazing very clean. Staff was very helpful. The room was spacious and clean as well. I do feel like there were a bit of hidden fees for this trip but overall, I loved it.

When we sat down to eat in the lobby, it took over an hour before anyone attended to us. At check-in, no one told us that we needed wristbands to access the pool. Later, a security guard was very rude and told us that we had already been at the hotel for three hours and needed to go get our wristbands before we could enter the pool. The pool closes at 7:00 p.m., and once it closes, you’re not allowed back in. The rooms were just okay—nothing special. The food menu also lacked variety, with very limited options. On top of that, valet parking cost $80 for just one day, which felt overpriced. Would I stay here again? No.

Beautiful hotel. Great amenities. Pool/pool area could be cleaned better though. Dirty floors and water.

The room and hotel in general were very clean. The hotel also has a spa like smell as you enter.

Everything was beautiful. Except the view. There were so many people with kids, one shat in the pool. People were ordering food and drinks pool side in the lower pool and left food and drinks all over. I was stepping on limes and straws at the bottom. The ocean reeked of sulfer and covered in seaweed. Then I get the bill. Took 1000$ security deposit for in room charges. 70$ a day to use valet if you want to leave the hotel, 55$ for a leisure fee. Plus all the other fees. I wont see any of that back. But everyone. Nope wont get me like that. So 2,500$ round trip from Louisville to Miami on Expedia and 1,000$ worth of add ons, tax and fees for 2 people. Do your research, call first and ask about events at the hotel, is the ocean clean and smells like ocean. Don't accept the upgrades, everything is taxed and unless you are walking everywhere them food prices and amenities gonna cost...

Well i was pretty sure when i booked with orbitz the resort fee was included but i was charged the daily resort fee. Also the pool could use a little more cleaning. The beach had massive seaweed which i know they cannot really control that. There is only the resort in that area, so you will have to uber to other places. The price range is super expensive and definitely gratuity is already included. Overall it is a nice property but be prepared to spend a ton of money.

In addition, one of our suitcases was damaged during the stay. When we mentioned it to one of the employees, her response was that there was nothing else they could do, which felt unprofessional and not very empathetic. I do want to mention that the valet parking service was perfect. The valet staff was very kind, efficient, and attentive at all times. Another issue during the stay was that both pools, the upstairs pool and the downstairs pool, were quite dirty, which also affected our experience. Overall, many of the hotel staff members were pleasant, but the front desk service, especially during check-in and check-out, was not very good. I expected a much more professional and well-maintained experience from a hotel of this category.
