The Harrison Hotel Downtown Hollywood FL, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The TV only had about 6 local channels. We wanted to relax and watch a movie but had to watch late night talk shows and game shows. A few outlets didn’t work at all in the room.

The breakfast was fine but never ready. The air conditioning was very loud and the lights around the hotel were blinding. I recommend they change their window coverings to block out the light. The room was clean but the shower had split in it causing difficulty standing.

I liked the decor 1st & 2nd floor. The decor were in th room was nice, although the toilet stopped up and we had to wait hours for someone to bring a PLUNGER!! Also parking is horrible. If you don't need to leave out for anything.. DON'T!! THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS PROPERTY IS THAT IT IS SMACK DEAD IN THE MIDDLE OF DOWNTOWN SO YOU COULD ACTUALLY WALK TO A BAR OR RESTAURANT AND IF YOU FEEL ATHLETIC ENOUGH YOU COULD ACTUALLY WALK TO THE BEACH.

Breakfast was quite basic, they should add a thing or two. Hotel location was good with lots of eating places around.Airport shuttle was a plus point.

The location was perfect, easy to get around town, walking distance to resturants and shops. Rooms and breakfast was fine.

Close to everything you’d want to drink and eat and dance to in Hollywood and only a short drive to the Rooftop😉

Overall, the hotel is okay. The staff is not rude, but they can come across a little indifferent. Faye at the front desk was nice enough, but not overly hospitable. I also found it odd that housekeeping staff did not acknowledge guests when making eye contact. A simple hello or good afternoon feels like basic hospitality. The rooms are clearly dated and well used. In my opinion, cleanliness could be better, but I travel weekly and typically stay at Marriott and Hilton properties, so my expectations may be higher. This is a reasonable place to put my head down for one or two nights at a price my company appreciates. During this visit, there was an issue with my Expedia reservation not showing in the system. I waited about 15 minutes while the GM worked on it from the back office. It was resolved, but I thought it was odd that he never came out to speak with me directly and instead relayed updates through Faye. As someone in hospitality, I would have stepped out to acknowledge the guest. That said, I was very early for check-in and had calls to make, so I was not too inconvenienced. I will likely stay again because of the convenience and price, but for personal travel, I would choose a newer property.

The price of the hostel was reasonable. The service was excellent. The staff was very courteous and kind and helpful. I recommend the Harrison hotel downtown Hollywood.

This place is perfectly decent. When booking, I didn't realize the rooms were outdoors- kind of like a motel. I didn't like that only because my room was humid, even with the AC blasting. The walls and ceilings also had dark marks and spots that didn't make me feel the cleanest. I only stayed one night, so I could deal, but I wouldn't stay for an extended period of time in that same room. The common areas were nice though!

My only comment concerns the breakfast; they serve a very good breakfast, but once the omelets run out, they don't replenish them, and they go quite quickly. They really should keep them available until breakfast service ends. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

Clean room, massive television!

The front desk was super nice. The entrance is nice. It’s a motel so you know that for the rooms inside. You must ensure you pull door shut. But the rooms are nice. There was a light musty odor but the rooms seem recently renovated and they’re way nicer than most motels. They’re nicely appointed. It’s definitely a great value for the price.

Staff was very nice and helpful. We only stayed for one night after a cruise. Would definitely stay again. In walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars
