Aspen Grand Hotel Houston

Bathroom sink was slow to drain. No hand soap or shampoo. Hand soap bottle was empty. Shampoo bottle was missing, the pump for the bottle was left to hang by itself. Bathroom lights were flickering. TV loses signal every 30 minutes or so. And the blow dryer sounded like it had something stuck inside and started smelling like it was burning. Not much for breakfast, toast, bagels and cereal. They did have a waffle machine, but it was very dirty all around. Waffles burned and stuck to the waffle maker. Only cooking oil was available for the waffle machine. Anyway.........

The hotel staff are amazing but our room smelled like mildew and there were only 2 towel and one trash bin. The second day we ask for clean towels and the lady said the cleaning crew comes tomorrow. Sorry. I love the place but a lot of rooms are not open for guest.

I tell you I tried to give this place a second chance and I am so disgusted and I went to this place and when I tell you, I had to go to a total of six different rooms and they were all disgusting sheets /blankets were dirty stains on all of them even the employee at the front desk staff at some point started taking pictures. It was late. I was tired. I was disgusted. Mind you I had double bits so imagine all this in both beds have an issues at times. At some pointI had to ask just get some fresh sheets to change the beds my self because every room bed was dirty stained, it was disgusting it some kind of stains on all of them , some make up , some hair under the bed cover, Grey metallic stains, reddish, brownish strange you can see on the comforter stains. I just can’t believe I’ve never ever, ever experienced something like this and we checked the rooms on the first floor and the second floor I just am shocked I won’t ever go again ever. My guess was totally upset. Disgusted it ruined the whole night. I couldn’t even hardly sleep. The pillowcases were even dirty. Like how do someone allow someone to be that trifling?I normally don’t say this, but someone probably should lose job because this was very unacceptable. I should get a full refund and a credit for this stuff. I just can’t believe it never experienced it. The ceiling still have mold stains looking on the room. I just can’t believe it the morning staff female was very unprofessional in the next day. 832/880/6932

This property is run down. The elevator seems to be borrowed from the tower of terror. The rooms are old, musty and the bathrooms are from another era. The towels were torn. This was a real bad experience.

***DO NOT STAY HERE*** Disgraceful and dangerous. Dirty, old, tired, dirty bed sheets - residents smoking drugs in the corridors and out front of the hotel. It's unsafe. Tried to get a refund from Expedia but absolutely useless staff - I would highly recommend not booking with Expedia and 100% do not stay at this hotel.

From the outside appearance looked at pretty decent, but in the room I had mildew on the ceiling and dark spots in the bathroom. The toilet wasn’t clean properly. There were stains of goop in the carpet very unprofessional. I took pictures of most of it.

The owner of the hotel has horrible customer service skills, he does not know how to test his customers, not only did he try to charge me twice for my stay, he did address the problem with our AC in our room and roaches were in my coffee pot and hair in our bath tub from whomever stayed the night before, the blankets were stained or maybe never washed I'm not sure, and when I complained the owner told me to get off his property since I didn't come to him I went to Expedia. The front desk guy. Was very nice but as far as the owner horrible, the breakfast and that area needed cleaning the only thing I likeed about it there was the front desk man!
