Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Houston Hobby Airport.

We requested rooms close as possible for a family of 6. When we arrived they offered a first and third floor rooms. Then after getting rooms next to each other one of the the rooms phone didn't work, no ironing board and bathroom lights stopped working. Early in the morning around 3 or 4 the fire alarm went off I called front desk they said it was a mistake. The breakfast wasn't well stocked slow to replenish items. Would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms was not up to standard. I had to switch rooms three different times due to cleanliness issues, and one of the bathrooms had a toilet that would not flush. This made my stay extremely frustrating and fell well below the level of quality and service I expected. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards I anticipated.

Room was clean. Staff was amazing.

If I ever go to Houston I would not book to stay at this hotel. And I would not recommend it either

The property needs a lot of improvement on maintenance, updates and guest friendly accommodations such as: there was no dolly to carry luggage in and out of the premises. Our first encounter with the front desk clerk on duty, Emma, was very pleasurable and guest friendly she was knowledgeable and helpful. Other staff did not display the same courteous friendly demeanors. Our first experience in room 207, was not good at all because as we settled in we noticed the ceiling and upper wall areas were infested with mold! We brought it to Emma's attention who immediately took action and called her supervisor and changed our room to the fourth floor, Room 413. She even personally helped us to move. Room 413 is nice and comfortable room with some needed improvement such as there is no closet for hanging garments and no hanging hooks anywhere. I had to go buy an over the door hanging hook to accommodate my needs. Ammenities were as little as two small bars of soap and only liquid body wash and shampoo in the shower itself. Also the toaster in the breakfast bar was out of order and when we brought it to the attention of the front desk person we were told management was notified but there was never a replacement in the three days we stayed there. The only reason we decided to stay was because of Emma's professional attitude towards comforting the guests as much as was within her control.

Very poorly maintained. I left that same night. There was blood in the bathroom and the room smelled of damp and dust, completely unbearable. Very poor hygiene.

Spacious room. Good bedding. And the breakfast was very good.

Our room had mold stains on the ceiling, the tub was painted over and was peeling and rusting. Both nights the fire alarm in our room went off at about midnight. The phone in the room didn’t work, I went to the front desk girl was less than helpful and seemed bothered by my question if it was a “false alarm.” The girl in the morning was more helpful but only said that it was a wiring issue and she would let maintenance know. The mini fridge didn’t work, the TV only shut off from power button on the side and TV could barely be heard with volume at 79.

The room was outdated and smelled like a wet carpet. There was mold in the restroom and on the ceiling, which was very concerning. The only positive thing about the stay was that the air conditioning worked well; however, it was leaking water all over the carpet. Overall, this property did not meet the standards I would expect from a Marriott hotel.

All areas of the hotel have a strong mold and mildew odor trying to be masked by cleaning agents. The hotel room had not been vacuumed well as evidence by the toenail clippings found in the entry way. Bed height in the room I was assigned (~3 ft) off of the ground making it difficult to get into. The tub looked visually dirty. Front desk staff was rude or absent. Based upon the number of cars in the parking lot there were few people staying there. The conditions caused me to vomit multiple times each morning and I could not sleep. This hotel is located in a rough neighborhood and is not safe for a single woman to be at. I felt safer in my car than in the hotel.
