Location is excellent. Direct and convenient access to room from lobby. Engaged and supportive staff. Thin walls, inconvenient and haphazard room arrangement, uncomfortable and unfortunately placed bed, flimsy bathroom construction

There was nothing to like This is not a 4* property. No facilities/amenities. Paid upfront; non refundable, unchangeable. Locked in.

Everything ! Would just have liked some milk for English tea

Friendly staff at checkin, nice kitchen facility, towel warmer, modern furnishings and fun design elements. I felt secure. TV technology was challenging without passwords. Shower slippery. No kleenex.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller boutique style experience. Everything was spotless, the room had some unexpected amenities (towel warmer!) parking was free and the bed was comfortable. it’s also conveniently close to the metro, making it easy to get around, and there are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the neighborhood within walking distance. the hotel is located near a busy railway. Trains do pass by during the night and tend to honk several minutes long, which could be disruptive for light sleepers. Thankfully, the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade, and the room exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and having two bathrooms was an incredible bonus. The towel warmer was a thoughtful luxury that made my stay feel even more special. Despite being in a convenient location with several restaurants within walking distance, the property was very quiet, and I was able to relax without being disturbed by noise. Every staff member I encountered was kind, welcoming, and professional. This was my first time staying at a Black woman-owned establishment, and I was genuinely excited and proud to support women who look like me. Seeing such excellence, attention to detail, and hospitality made the experience even more meaningful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend Wanderstay Boutique to others.

Arrived late to check in due to travel, hotel still assisted me and got me into my room. Left very early in the morning due to work obligations, hotel called to see how my stay was and check on me. Was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Fantastic place.

Its quiet, and open but private. The staff are friendly and helpful. Though ear protection is offered for the nearby tram I enjoyed the sounds of the city. The location was perfect for my visit at U of H. The ironworks coffee and other stuff is perfect for browsing local art. The decor over the bed is in an unusual spot which doesn’t allow you to sit up on the bed, and the wall plug was in an inconvenient spot.

Nothing Extremely unsafe location - bad industrial - parking NOT secure - reception dirty - no understanding by staff of my situation.

I really liked this hotel. Very different from all other places I’ve stayed in Houston. However, we booked the beach room and were given the snow room. Not a huge deal but was slightly disappointed. When leaving the next morning we were told we’d be charged 15$ for late check out. Which we were totally fine with. We do late check out often. Upon leaving she DEMANDED my card while my hands were full with my belongings so she could charge for late checkout. I know my card is on file, if I were to leave at any time with damage to my room they would charge my card whether they had the physical card in hand or not. My husband went out to the car and grabbed a card to bring back in to pay late checkout fee, when I checked my transactions I was charged 20$ instead of 15$. I truly do not care about the extra 5$ but I was very disappointed with the customer service and increase in fee without my knowledge or any explanation. If not for her actions I would give this hotel a 5 star rating.

Nicely appointed room and common areas. Room is somewhat small, but perfectly adequate.

Great location and very friendly staff. Small place and decorated really nice. Seemed very safe and local food and bars within walking distance helped fill my free time. It took me a bit to find the entrance. Just know it's not largely marked so once you see it then you'll get it.

This boutique hotel was so cute! It was within our price range when we booked it. We stayed in the Hollywood room, which was very cute. I loved that they had a ceiling fan along with the AC because sometimes you need a little extra air. There is a kitchen when you walk into the boutique hotel, which you’re allowed to cook if needed. We didn’t need to, but that was nice. I felt like it was in a secure area. We were there for the Astros game and it took us less than five minutes to get to the stadium. I would stay here again.

I liked how private and secure the location was Wish there was a cooler in room but wasn’t a big issue

Very Clean Good Looking Hotel...Looks are Deceiving...Because You Can't Sleep at this Hotel! Room Temperature (Way Too Hot or Way Too Cold)...Constant "Rocks in a Tin Can" Noise from HVAC Unit...Neighborhood is a "Crime Seen" Waiting to Happen (Industrial/Commercial Turning to Residential) with Homeless/Constant Police Patrols...Locked Security Six-Foot Fence in Front of Entrance Doors (First Time that I have Ever Seen that Type of Security but Common in this Neighborhood)...Contacted Maybe Ten Times About Checking-In Early Online...Required to Sign a Contract at Check-In Stating that You will Pay the "Full Amount" if You Leave Early (Seriously...this is when You Know Something is Wrong but it is Already Too Late Because of their "No Cancellation Agreement")...BUT DON"T FORGET THE NOISE...Location is Between Commuter Light Rail Train and the Railroad Trains...Both of which "Wail on the Horns" if Something is Blocking the Tracks Like the Homeless People that Sleep Along the Sides of Both Tracks (Note Pictures of Room Train Sign, Ear Plugs, but I Forgot to Take A Picture of the "White Noise Generator")...Also Based on the Overall Security in this Neighborhood I would Not Park My Car Outside (Note there is No Fenced Parking Lot at this Hotel)...Maybe I am Just Upset that I Paid $160/night for a $80/night Hotel and Woke Up Sweating at 4:00 AM so I could then Listened to HVAC/Train Noise Until Starting My Day!!! (Only Hotel that I Ever Asked if I could Cancel my Reservation at Check-In!!!)

No bar soap, pillows were uncomfortable. Hotel desk staffed only for limited hours, so check in outside of those hours is a challenge, requiring customer to scan a copy of driver's license to receive a code. Fair price for the room.

Free parking, centrally located, a block off the rail line. Very small hotel but everything was immaculate! Walkable food and drink ootions. Will definitely stay here when in town again for business.

I stayed here in March 2026, I was there for the Rodeo. The room was clean and nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to use the fridge in the common area for our left overs and no one touched them. The location is great, walking distance to a brewery and restaurants. The train is loud but I am used to trains I did not even notice it. The parking is street parking right next to the hotel, we always found a spot. Over all I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again whenever I’m in Houston.
