Motel 6 Jackson, TN

Pros: 1. Close to the highway. 2. My car didn't get stolen or vandalized. 2. My husband and I managed to fall asleep and get rested enough to leave ASAP in the morning. Cons: where do I start?! The property was not well lit, in the lobby nor parking lot. Dark, grimy, and grungy lobby with no AC, no front desk attendant, sticky, dirty floors and carpet. We arrived just before midnight and checked in with a virtual kiosk attendant. Surprisingly, no issues with the check-in process and it was my first ever experience with this method. We reserved a nonsmoking room with a king bed. Instead, we were given a room with double queen beds, sticky floors, dirty linen, poor lighting, loud AC unit, and filled with the smell of cigarette smoke. I attempted to call the front desk and that was a joke/not applicable. Phone rang but no answer. This room SCREAMED "hourly rate" and "streetwalker/hookup meeting spot"...I'd hate to see how bright it would light up with a DNA blue light!! I slept in my clothes and shoes on top of a blanket from my car because I didn't want anything from that room touching me! It's also pet friendly and I heard so many large dogs barking throughout the night. I almost thought I was in a kennel!!...which probably would've been cleaner and better than this place. If only I could give it NEGATIVE 100 stars!! NEVER AGAIN!

I'll never stay there again.

The problem was the airconditioner was old or not well maintained that it didn't work very well. Was too hot to sleep in the room so I went to sleep in my car with my toddler with the air conditioning at full blast. I paid for a king bed but was given 2 queens instead.

Stains on the pillows and couch. Power cord was missing from the tv. There was a cigarette smell in the room. I did not see any staff at the facility except someone on a videoscreen in the lobby. When i asked for more towels and a power cord for the tv they told me someone would come to the room to help but nobody did.

Checking in via video call is a no go. Its awkward. The sound quality is extremely poor. If anything goes ary, its hard for the clerk to do any crowd control. There was no one in the building. Calling in sends you to a call center. I had to go to the hotel next door to get anything useful. First room assigned to me wasnt finished being cleaned at 9pm. Unflushed toilet. Trash everywhere. One bed missing sheets. Second room was finished, but the sheets had cigarette burns and the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. The reality is they dont want to staff this building. It doesnt work.

The check-in process was very intresting. They had a machine and the check-in was done through that machine via video call style. It was very impersonal. I prefer in person interaction.

Staff is great and most of the rooms stay clean

The ac didn’t work In the room the electronic check in wasn’t good because you couldn’t hear barley anything, it smelt weird like a sour smell and right outside of my hotel room there was just piles and piles of trash. The beds are only about 1 inch thick like the ones from a jail cell

Most of all did not feel safe!

The place was a dump

Quiet motel nice bed.

I got two rooms. Room 1 was OK. Room 2 smelled terrible when the door opened. It was quickly changed out for another room equally unfit as the was a bag of laundry and the room had not been cleared for guests.

Avoid this one at all costs, its dirty, buggy, the ice machine leaks all over the floors, there is no real person just someone talking to you thru a kiosk, and the hallways stink like pot. Then they charge you a deposit, which they claim they didn't receive when you ask for the deposit back. Disgusting hotel should be condemned.
