The property is undergoing renovations. The lobby has loose flooring and there is an odor. The pool is closed because of the renovations. The front desk and housekeeping staff were great.
-
The rooms were in great condition on the 2nd and 3rd floors, although there was noise early in the morning from the ongoing renovation. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all great.

We arrive about 3:30. The place looked closed. Only 2 cars tucked away in the parking lot. We enter to find the lobby under repair. A nice young guy greeted us at the front desk. Checked in. Room was very nice. I guess remodeled recently. Checked out next am about 9:00. Jada nice breakfast first. Coffee & bagels.

The listing did not say the hotel was under renovation. The lobby and bottom floor was torn apart, there was a bad smell. The rooms were already redone but had a strong odor of paint or something still. The AC was reading 68 but no way it was that cool. It's middle of summer in Florida and the pool was also closed for renovations which I would have booked elsewhere had I known that. I did have to stay 2 extra days and chose to stay elsewhere.

Filthy and dangerous. Yes, I found out when we checked in that they were renovating, but this was beyond unacceptable for guests to stay at. Renovating is understandable but the conditions were unacceptable. The rooms were dirty, with sawdust and screws on the floor and were not completely furnished. The beds and pillows were not up to Hampton Inn standards. Halls dirty, elevator filthy. Breakfast area unacceptable to eat in. Workers still milling around and making noise after 10 pm. The exterior looked like a tornado had hit and the parking lot was clustered and unsafe. I have never been so disappointed with a Hampton Inn.

We could not go thru lobby we had to enter a side door and walk thru fitness center Our room had been renovated so the room was very nice and clean but the hotel in Reno mode was a mess. Even outside. Giant scaffolds and lifts. Mess. No pool hard to park Disappointing bc I had no idea when booked it would be like this

Room smelled like mildew.

There’s construction tape up everywhere and parts of hotel roped off. And the pool being closed— not good at all. It smells awful when you walk into the lobby-Iike mold or something… Was very disappointed none of this was communicating in advance of our stay so we could have stayed somewhere else. Wouldn’t stay here until all the work is complete.

I had a severe allergic reaction to something in my hotel room and had to go to the hospital emergency room for treatment. I specifically asked for feather bedding to be removed from my room and replaced with non-feather bedding. My guess is the hotel does not do a good job of containing feather product products and keeping them away from no non-feather products. The hotel was under renovation and I wish I had known that and I wouldn’t have booked to stay. The fitness room was closed. The pool was closed. The faucet in my bathroom was broken. And the overall cleanliness was maybe like a two out of five. Wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great.

Clean room and great staff. Hotel was under construction and we didn't know till it was to late that pool was closed. Huge bummer for the kids and would have affected our decision to stay there. Hotel will be great once renovations completed. Neighbors in room 304 were the worst and Ihope Karma finds them at 2am some day soon.

-
Breakfast was efficient and all items were fresh and amply available. Frequently coffee runs out, but Jacksonville was above average.

Nice staff, nice breakfast, overall very good. The building and grounds could use some cleaning and work.
