Holiday Inn Express and Suites Jacksonville East by IHG

I was on the second floor, and the entire floor smelled musty/damp. My room smelled as well. When I was checking in, another guest was at the counter explaining that when they entered their two room, they found one with the air conditioning until in pieces and on the floor and the other with a wet carpet. Her room was on the third floor, and I imagine that had something to do with the second floor smelling the way it did. The overall cleanliness wasn't impressive, but it was good enough. By my third morning, the tub/shower wasn't draining. It was hours before all of the water had drained out after a shower. The bed was comfortable enough, and the AC unit in my room worked, although it was noisy. Next time I visit Jacksonville, I'll find a different hotel.

A card in the room concerning how to get to the channel guide on the TV would be helpful. The switch for the lights above the headboard was hard to find. I had to call the front desk to ask where it was. A colored switch would help as black on black is difficult to see. It was disappointing that the only ice machine was on the 3rd floor. I had to ask the front desk about that too. Otherwise, the staff was amazing & the breakfast was great.

Bathroom blinds smell so bad, sofas bed never clean or change sheets smell mold. Check your door lock my is broken you can get in and out with out key. Charges $37.56 after check out. Will dispute it. What your account.

Everything was absolutely perfect, we got there there’s plenty of time parking , also front desk was very professional, explained hours of pool , breakfast ect , the property was clean updated , the rooms were very clean ac was great , the housekeeping was absolutely helpful and very friendly, also keep everything very clean for breakfast there was a variety and also it was very organized, it was a long weekend so the hotel was full to capacity and they manage to keep everything under control , I’m really happy we went to this facility and will be going again soon … we travel for work so this will be my fav place … thank you

During track season make sure to request the top floor. The floors or thin and you could here everything. Other than that, it was fine.

I was hesitant to make reservations not knowing the area, but did so based on proximity to the location of the funeral we came to attend. The lobby was clean and modern, then as I stood at the counter looking around, the initial greeting when Darren stepped from the rear immediately put me at ease. He was kind and personable while speaking with a calming voice that seemed genuine when he asked about my weekend. His stature of quiet strength coupled with clever comments and proposing to me floor options to choose from put this spot at the top of my list when I return to Jacksonville. The room was clean, breakfast was on point, coffee station available all day, and both beds had soft & firm pillows mattresses that had everyone in my party sleeping like babies—oh so very comfortable!!! We didn’t make it to the pool, although others appeared to enjoy it. The only iffy thing was having to go to Floor 3 for ice, however I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN and recommend it to others.
