Tub was backed up twice Saw a roach Manager and director was kind

I would give a higher rating but there were construction noises everyday since our first day in the room next door. I asked my elderly mother if we should request another room but she said that would be difficult for her to pack and move again. My suggestion is to advise the guest at the front desk before they unpack that there is construction in the next room so they are informed and offered a room with no construction going on next door and comp the guest or refund if its a downgrade. The carpet also has a weird smell and the bathroom cleanliness was not the standard we would give a 9 or 10 to. The bathroom was dusty and the facil tisse was half used from previous guest.

Perfect location

Excellent service, helpful staff, comfortable beds, great location by downtown Kona, convenient and plentiful parking, good coffee and shave ice places inside the hotel, on the beach, nice swimming pool, good towel service, good pool bar/restaurant, 24 fitness room, spa on site, convenient ABC store inside the hotel, laundry on site, easy pickup for tours, lots of coffee and shopping nearby, never had to wait long for an elevator or pool towel. Didn't like: Hot tub is not hot (it's barely warm), toilets in rooms are so shallow you can't wipe yourself, bathrooms are dated, bathroom doors are awkward shutter style wood sliders and are noisy at night and not very private, showers and bathroom ceilings are old/dingy, patio slider is heavy wood door and would rather have sheer curtain plus easy to open blackout curtain, "Ocean View" is misleading and should be called "Partial Ocean View" as you can't see the ocean without going outside or craning your neck - it is mostly a view of the roof, the breakfast restaurant closes at 10am which makes no sense when this is a vacation destination, restaurant coffee was expensive and bad and there's no excuse for bad coffee in Kona, and the housekeeping is only every other day which also makes no sense in a beach location where rooms get dirty and badly need a daily cleaning even with just two people.

Spent 3 nights with ocean view. Enjoyed the balcony which we sat on to read and enjoy the views. Bed was comfortable. Didn’t care for the sliding bathroom door as you could hear everything going on in there. Ocean view was nice but also overlooked the pool so it was noisy until 10 pm every night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location near restaurants. The coffee shop in the building was nice for a quick breakfast or snack. ABC store in the complex too in case you need anything.

I picked ocean view room for sure I got partial view the toilet was very low in my room almost made for a kid we had to rent a microwave in our room for an additional 10 per night the ac in the room didn’t get cool until night it’s like the hotel controls it other than that it was ok when we first arrived it was a 60 dollar hold on your credit card later I got a notification it was another 80 dollar hold put on my card I was only told about the 60 I later called the office and was told it was $140 but I wasn’t told that it mad Ed me wonder did have anything to do with race because we didn’t see anyone that was our race at this hotel very suspicious

Our flight didn’t leave until night time and the staff offered us a complimentary room to shower and change. I highly recommended Marriott King in Kona Hawai’i to all guests. The service and staff were beyond excellent. Thank you so much I am highly recommending the hotel to all friends and family.

The property itself, is lovely — with lots shops, an ABC store, coffee shop, restaurant, as well as pool, bar and small beach. For me, the best thing is all the beautiful artwork and history surrounding King Kamehameha, his family and heirs. Hawaii has a rich history, and it’s on display at this hotel! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. I will stay again!

Everything was great would go back!!!

We chose the double queen room with ocean view. It is partial view because of the way the buildings are situated. You need to get a room overlooking the ocean for a full ocean view. Otherwise the view is still beautiful. Beds are high so if you have a disability, or elderly it would be best to request a room for disabled or handicapped. The bathroom is set up with wheelchair access and grab bars and space for toilet easy access and space. Rooms are close to elevator and the ice and water machines on each floor. ABC convenience store, clothing, art coffee shop. There is a calendar of scheduled activities to learn hula and lei making. Tennis court, pool and beach access, cabanas and can be set up for a wedding destination. I was there with my elderly mother for a wedding. It was so beautiful. About of Hawaiians art and a Heiau as well. Perfect for water sport and there are lots of off property shops and restaurants. Kailua-Kona has grown so much. And the Courtyard Marriott has done a great Job renovating the property. What else can I say, I was pleasantly surprised and will stay there again. Rooms are very clean, staff is pleasant and helpful, breakfast buffet available or menu. Great place to stay.

We loved this hotels location right in the heart of Kona. The beach right by the pool was very nice and a short walk to many restaurants and shops. The beds were very comfortable and the balconies were a nice place to take in the fresh air. The rooms were nice relatively recent renovations. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. The restaurant breakfast buffet was nice as well. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Our favorite part of our stay is that we were lucky to be there during a Hawaii cultural festival the hotel hosts first weekend in June. Amazing experience and so much talent!

The location is perfect. We traditionally stay at resorts 30 to 45 minutes north of Kona and we decided try this location. We are glad we did. It saved us a lot of time driving to and from Kona.

Right in the center of Kona. Perfect place to stay so you can walk downtown and learn the history.

Room was not what it should have been. Not as clean as it should be…bathroom mirror not cleaned. Not vacuumed ( found a piece of glass on it). Was told they clean every other day. But all they did was empty garbage can and replace a towel. It said my room was a balcony resort view room…my view was of the roof and parking lot.
