Kona Tiki Hotel

Great location and ocean view staff was very helpful.

We booked a last minute stay here so I could pick up my husband from the airport and not have to drive during the Kona Lo storm. The hotel sustained some flooding but the staff dealt with it in a prompt and friendly manner, and overall we felt like we were in safe hands during this extreme weather event. The view from the patio was extremely beautiful and the room was spacious and well appointed!

Beautiful ocean view room, but no AC, kitchen sink or tv despite being given kitchen towels & dish soap. Tarnished silverware in drawer to use…ew! TV for storm information would’ve been useful. AC would have made room more comfortable due to storm/rain making it impossible to leave windows open plus safety in sleeping leaving ground floor windows open & slider unsecure if left open. Roof tore off by storm during our stay. Had to evacuate but given no assistance in securing new accommodation nor a refund yet for our prepaid stay!

Kona Tiki is the cutest hotel. It has amazing views and the staff are just the nicest.

Ocean views were spectacular There were few security measures. No deadbolt on the door. The lanai could be accessed from the stairs. The reception closes at night and could not be reached in an emergency. Also “reception” was just text messages with a code for the door lock. A pair of children’s shoes were left in the room from a prior guest so cleaning protocols were questionable too.

Ocean was visible from our veranda. View was great. No AC, but the morning and evening breezes were great. Room is compact, but well planned.... you want to get out most of the day anyways (you're in Hawaii), and just crash at night.

The staff was attentive, kind & polite. It was super clean & shiny. I didn’t realize I had a kitchen and it was perfect. I ran up the street grabbed a few eggs and we had breakfast and coffee in our room on the lanai. The pool at this hotel exceeds my expectations. I do not necessarily like a chlorinated swimming pool. This was a natural pool utilizing the ocean with such beautiful saltwater to swim. The views from this hotel and sunsets are amazing. It’s very walkable everything is close by we see no reason to stay anywhere else when we return to Kona

I could hear the ocean waves from my room with the softest sheets on the bed. Free trolley into Kailua Village. Staff super friendly and they have beach gear to lend out! It set really high expectations for the rest of my vacations.

This hotel is all about the views over the ocean. Our room was clean and everything worked as advertised. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to couples who want a unique experience sleeping next to the ocean.

Love the location of the stay, it was right near the sea. There is no air conditioning, sometimes you might feel a bit humid.

This is an old school, basic motel with a good location (.5 miles south of Kona) and right on the water. It’s low staff interaction with self check-in and no housekeeping per se. i would not want to stay here in the summer as there is no a/c. We were on the first floor so sleeping with the windows open was a little disconcerting and evenings can be noisy with loud motorcycles and base stereos coming from the street. My biggest complaint was the lack of reliable wifi which is imperative when you are trying to plan daily activities, book dinner reservations, etc. overall it is clean, with a comfortable bed and a great deal for the price - just be prepared to bring your own coffee as they only give you a single serving packet for a full size coffee machine and know you may need to head to the pool for reliable cell service.

I liked the location, the view and the pool. I did not care for the age of the place, small lanai, price was high for size and condition of the room.

What a gem! Excellent location. Clean, comfortable room. Amazing pool right on the sea.
