The Kennebunk Inn

Friendly staff, comfortable and good location.

Honestly, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, but this Inn is in need of work. It’s just old. The furniture is worn, the floors moan, the banisters are chipped, the window ACs are loud, walls are scuffed…….at this price point it should be reflected a bit more in the property.

The entire place was clean neat and Pam at the front desk was very helpful. The only thing I wish you had were more electrical outlets. I couldn’t find any to charge my phone other than that excellent.

We picked this property because we have two dogs. They were made feel very welcome! The location was fantastic, downtown was bustling - music on the streets, farmers market, craft fair, and art show! The food at the Tavern was very good and breakfast at the Boulanger was fabulous. Our room was spacious and clean, it was on the street, so there was noise, but that was to be expected.

We met family when we arrived to have lunch at their restaurant, but the restaurant and pub were closed for a private event for 2 days. We were never notified. We had to make last minute provisions. Main Street was closed for paving for 2 nights and again, we were never notified and got detoured those 2 nights. I called and spoke to Heather as I asked for a minimal discount for the inconvenience and she is a very rude person. Heather is the general manager and part owner apparently, she told that she would not help us out in any way. I will never stay there again. The Inn is old and rickety and it smells.

The Tavern staff was WONDERFUL.The room was quite disappointing.Chipped paint, bathroom had Zero lighting so couldn’t applymake-up.The shower outdated and super small.The highlights were fresh baked cookies in the lobby, and coffee always.They don’t offer a breakfast,not even continental which was a down point for me.The air conditioner in window was on its last leg.If you are looking for an upscale,romantic spot, definitely not for you.

The room was spacious, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Loved the historic feel of the inn and its main street location. There was a Keurig coffee machine in the room but would have liked to have some coffee supplied to make coffee in the room.

We were traveling with 2 kids. And as walls are super thin, got complains about noise in the room. Unfortunately, sometimes to control kids noise, specifically, when you are on vacation is super hard. Lesson learned for us.

Nice, cozy, but very old hotel inn. The room was nice but no elevator, many steps, not disabled/ handicap friendly due to high bathroom tub, nothing to hold on to and very old bathroom with rusty sink

The antiqueness captivated us immediately! The staff was very friendly and competent. Food in the tavern was wonderful. Not a thing.

The tavern was also very yummy and the bartender was very very nice!

Rooms need painting. Note in bathroom that it takes 7 minutes to get hot water. Hotel restaurant closed when website states it provides meal. Have keurig in room but need to provide your own coffee. Would not recommend at all.

Charming hotel, lovely front desk staff, it’s an old Inn so expect nuances. Loved sitting on the porch.

Huge space in the penthouse suite! Absolutely wonderful staff! Absolutely spotless and immaculate! The inn does not serve breakfast but the penthouse suite has a nice kitchen where one can make breakfast if they want. The 3 window AC were very old and therefor did not work very well. There were no pods available for the coffee machine which meant having to go down 3 flight of stairs to get coffee from the machine and bring it back up 3 flight of stairs. One lamp in the parent room was not bright enough to be able to read in bed.

Great staff and great location. A great property that is showing its age. The Room on the 3rd floor we stayed in is in dire need of an update. Bathroom was horribly dated. Windows are old. Rooms had no plug sockets. I understand it’s a heritage property but something needs to be done to update the room while still maintaining the old time charm. I’ve stayed at hostels that were nicer. For the price we paid, scandalous.

Close enough to Kennebunkport without the price tag.

Great location with a breakfast spot just behind them, which is a favorite to the locals. Also fun to stop and watch pickle ball next door!

We loved how unique and quaint the inn is. We would definitely stay there again.
