The Colony Hotel

Wi-Fi never worked, beds were hard, pretty expensive for a hotel without AC.

We love this property and try to come back every year to unwind, have a nice breakfast and be by the ocean views.

The food and drinks were excellent, the views were breathtaking, and the pool is absolutely beautiful. The pool experience, however, could be elevated with more attentive service. It would be great if the pool attendants helped guests get settled, maintained the pool area throughout the day, and if there were more proactive poolside drink service, as we often had to walk up to the bar ourselves. As for the room, we completely understood that the Main House is historic, so we weren’t expecting a newly renovated space. However, one important detail that wasn’t clear when booking is that the Main House does not have air conditioning. During one of the hottest weekends of the summer, the room became very uncomfortable, and the fans provided weren’t enough. Had we known, we would have booked one of the newer accommodations across the street. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will absolutely be back. Next time, we’ll simply choose one of the renovated rooms. The history, traditions, and unforgettable Fourth of July celebration make this a truly special place.

A beautiful, historic hotel overlooking the ocean with a heated pool. Our room was stunning, with ocean views and breezes. It is nostalgic and peaceful, and the marine room restaurant was great for delicious lobster rolls at lunch. We felt the breakfast buffet was disappointing, and some of the staff were not pleasant, but it wouldn't stop us from returning.

TERRIBLE. No Air Conditioning in the rooms. Literally couldn’t sleep last night as it was over 80 degrees and humid in the room, disgusting. What a joke

Had a wonderful vacation and wedding for me son and new daughter in law. Staff was great.

That said, the amenities really made our stay enjoyable. The pool was fantastic, the food on the property was very good, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Having direct access to the beach was definitely a highlight and made for a relaxing stay.

We were on our honeymoon and wanted to book a nice hotel with an ocean view. The room had a sliver of ocean view through the bushes. I said I paid for an ocean view room and they said there are different ocean views. That is very deceiving in the room description, along with them not stating there isn't AC or a TV in the rooms, and the room is very small. The hotel is beautiful and a there is a great ocean view on the outdoor porch but for the money I wish we'd stayed somewhere else.

The hotel is a beautiful reminder of days gone by. The location is terrific. The restaurant served a delicious lunch and the service by Lulu was top notch .

The pool, the grounds, the foyer with a grand fireplace were very inviting!

Our kids loved walking from our room out to the beach.

We loved everything! So worth the trip. Grounds are beautiful.
