The staff was nice The first room we were given smelled moldy and wet. There were black spots on the walls and ceiling was cracking. The second room had pink spots all over the walls, there was also an area where the wallpaper was peeling off and someone stapled the wallpaper to it. The bed mattress was high on one side and low on the other. The down comforters were flat, floors stained. Just a mess, and this was a hotel that my family and I once loved. This hotel needs a renovation. It is sad that a fairly new hotel has not been taken care of.. felt like i was where they leave the light on. Marriott/Fairfield do better, hardworking people are spending their money to have somewhere nice to bring their families and lay their heads, so disappointed

Nothing was really special or stood out other than the complimentary water. Although I wouldn’t have known it if I hadn’t stayed here in the past b/c no one told me water was complimentary. The location is convenient for me, but The Fairfield just lucked out on that one. It seemed more business oriented than customer friendly. The staff didn’t greet you or say good morning. They quickly wanted to get you in and get you out. I couldn’t even get a receipt indicating the room was paid in full upon checkout. Said something about new computer system over a month ago. She couldn’t reach “her manager”. Told her a manager should always be available. She said she was the on duty manager. Didn’t like the two nose rings that greeted me at the desk. Hard to take someone seriously w/two nose rings when they’re the face of your business. She also said there was a refund applied to a 2nd credit card as there were two on file. Scary if they’re getting people’s credit cards mixed up as I didn’t have another card or give them permission to put “any” credit card on file. Overheard a woman complain she had been there for several days, yet housekeeping had not tidied up yet. This was not surprising as when I previously stayed here, I questioned the cleanliness of the sheets/bedding. The maintenance guy gave some lame excuse and said they were in the process of replacing the bedding. It really looked filthy and I wondered if there had been some sort of infestation. The maintenance guy was actually rude, no resolution and no apology. Also, heard some of the housekeeping staff talking about the customer and their complaining. You learn from complaints and this makes for better service.

We had a very good stay. The only issue we had is that they didn't clean our room and replace the towels daily.

The rooms were clean, the staff were pleasant. As for the breakfast, it was average but not managed very well. A lot of items were missing like yogurt and the decafe coffee was out when I walked in at 8:00 am.

Check-in was not smooth. Seems the "itinerary number" and confirmation number are two different things. Expedia uses one form and the hotel uses another. Once that was clarified things went well. Our rooms were great. They even accommodated us by switching one of the rooms to an accessible king suite. Breakfast was hot and delicious. We didn't use the pool or gym, but looked at them and wished we had the time to do so.
