Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lafayette East by IHG

Breakfast was okay, room was a good size The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. While we were staying at the hotel, staff saw me leaving with some of my belongings, fully dressed for graduation, and assumed that we had checked out. We had not checked out, and our room keys were still active. We had intentionally left many of our belongings in the room because we planned to return, change, and relax before making the long trip home. Instead, we returned to find that our belongings had been thrown into a trash bag and our food had been thrown away. What makes this even more frustrating is that no one contacted us or confirmed that we had actually checked out before removing our belongings from the room. The staff member present at the time offered a full compensation for our stay, which seemed like a reasonable acknowledgment of how serious the situation was. However, the general manager later countered that offer with a disrespectful $25 compensation. This was an unacceptable experience from start to finish. Mistakes happen, but the way this situation was handled, especially the response from management afterward, was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here.

Not be beat very friendly front desk person

The elevator shows just how dated this property is. The parking lot is taken up by a number of semitrailers. Almost no where to park when we arrived at 8pm. Outside of building had green moss growing on the stone. Overall looks very run down compared to most holiday inns i stay at. Wasn’t impressed. Would not stay again.

Nothing I asked multiple times for a refund/cancellation and never got a response or money back. That I didn’t get money back.

Room was clean and the staff we interacted with were nice and accommodating. Grass needs to be mowed and trimmed along Progress.

nice hotel, quiet and comfy room, loved the way the blackout curtain was really made the room dark even at 8am, TV was blue in one spot but wasn't a big deal, room was so big i had to double check i didn't accidently order an accessible room. overall would stay here again.

This property is in disrepair. The actual room furnishings were fine BUT the actual physical building needs an overhaul. The beds were haphazardly made. The staff was very polite and kind. There is a brand new Doubletree right next door for the same price. Word to the wise.

Exceptional

Rating is due to the experience with the front desk staff who gave a king bed room Instead of 2 queens bed even though I had a confirmed reservation for 2 queens. 4 of us had to scramble into 1 king bed and a horrible roll away bed thrown as courtesy.

Access to tons of restaurants and close to interstate 65 but no road noise. Could use a refresh of paint and carpet.
