Great service and clean rooms.

The room & bathroom were very dirty & not kept up

Room floor was sticky in entrance and you can see where something was spilt on the floor. The floor wasn’t swept around the couch area and in the bathroom, the shower had a lot of buildup on it.

This property was very well located for what I needed to accomplish. It needs refurbishment, overall, as well as much closer attention to cleanliness inside the building, the room and the parking lot. Lake Charles itself seems dilapidated. As to this particular property, it looks as if the damages of the last few years of hurricanes, freezes, floods and economic turmoil have taken the pride of ownership away.

Booked it way in advance due to it was my anniversary. They gave away my room I had reserved and downgraded me to a different room. Still charged Me Full price!!! Staff didn't come to clean the room. Had to go downstairs and ask for towels and other items. Won't stay here again!!!!!

Absolutely horrible and run down. Plus the rooms I paid for in full 3 days prior where given away before I checked in. Took forever to get someone to assist then give me queen rooms that I had paid for premium king rooms. Overall Absolutely worst stay ever

My second time staying at this Wingate. I can see myself staying there again during future travels through Lake Charles, LA...why mess with success!

For the price that we paid, the hotel was a bit rundown and the room was not inviting.

Our room was double booked they allowed another quest to enter our room with our personal belongings inside, then we had to move. The ceilings have water stains, damage and cracks. Bathtub leaking water on floor. Floor has paint stains. Breakfast brought in via crockpot. For safety just do fruit and items we can open and heat.

The customer service was just as disappointing. After booking online, I called the hotel to let them know I would be arriving late. My calls were disconnected three different times. On the last call, the person who answered simply said, "I'll call you back," and hung up before I could even say anything. They never returned my call. Between the filthy room, the safety concerns, and the terrible customer service, this was an awful experience. I will never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Right off the interstate, road noise

Terrible experience ... Never interacted with such lazy staff before. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:30am. I arrived with my kids at 9:10am and the buffet was 90% empty (not even coffee was available). I asked for the staff to refill some of items of the buffet, but they refused because breakfast would close in 20min. Also, no water bottles were available for the guests till the room service arrived. I was so upset that I left the hotel after my 1st night (forfeiting my 2nd night booked) and just drove home with my family. Simply horrible.

Seems like they need to work on the property more. There is a lot of things not working and apparently there are a lot of homeless that hang around there too. Maybe they need to get security.

The rooms could have been cleaner, bath tub had hair and mold. mirrors not cleaned, floors were not vacuumed. Breakfast was good, and fresh.

This place was extremely disappointing. The towels had a foul odor, the toilet was broken, the tub didn’t drain, the fridge was leaking, none of the ice machines worked, and the breakfast was unsanitary and tasted awful. This used to be my go‑to spot, but never again.

This hotel is very close to casinos and convenient travelers to stop and relax. Very clean and nice staff. Breakfast was good and yummy and had lots of options. Would stay here again if I need a place to rest and relax.
