Wingate by Wyndham Lake Charles Casino Area

This hotel is very close to casinos and convenient travelers to stop and relax. Very clean and nice staff. Breakfast was good and yummy and had lots of options. Would stay here again if I need a place to rest and relax.

The room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, a lot more comfortable than Golden Nugget’s bed. Breakfast was ok, your typical hotel breakfast (but at least they offered it). Took the shuttle over to L’Auberge. Very convenient and when you are ready to go back to your room just call the phone number provided. Will definitely go back again. Only complaint was the grounds around the hotel could have been neater!

Stay somewhere else. It is dated, the walls in the room are dirty, chair in the room was dirty, dingy. The tub did not drain during shower.

I reported the issues to the front desk, and the employee said, “Sorry, we thought we fixed all the rooms with mold. We must’ve missed one.” Given the condition of the room, I left the hotel and booked a room elsewhere. Very disappointed with the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall quality of this hotel.

Whatever you do, pick another place….between the active growing mold on walls and floor from AC, or the bullet holes through the room windows, there isn’t a whole lot to try and speak to positively. The front desk was generally pleasant but still spent more time with an air pod in vs. talking to me trying to check in, then immediately check out after seeing room and hotel condition. Just don’t waste your time.

Too highly priced for the value. Hotel is in need of remodeling. Want stay here again.

I was not happy with the overall experience. The staff was not friendly. My room floor was very dirty. The shower water was not flowing properly, and the tub was not draining. I called the front desk several times and no one answered. The breakfast was burnt and the coffee was very watered down. I would not recommend anyone to this place and I definitely would not stay here again.

They moved us to a downgraded room that was terrible. A slipcover was over the loveseat because the love seat had chunks out of it. The bathroom had mildew and the grout was out of the floor tile. I could go on and on about how run down this property was., however, I just want to put it behind me. NASTY and Needs a total overhaul!

Staff moved us to another room which was better. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Reception area was nice but rooms needed updating.

But the staff was really great. Super friendly and instantly helpful. I was surprised at the state of the building. The area has seen some serious hurricanes, but I think corporate Wingate and Wyndham would benefit from fixing this property. I will never stay there again. There are a bunch of other options on that street.

Staff was very friendly. Our room was freezing so we turned the AC down about 5 degrees and when we returned from dinner the floor was wet so it was slick. Kept shoes on and wiped it with a towel and it was fine. Just be careful. Went to breakfast 30 minutes before close and there were several things empty. Couldn’t find the lady to ask for more. My fault for waiting til the last second. Overall, good place close to casinos. We’ll stay there again!

The staff was FABULOUS! They were very kind and helpful! The location was perfect for what we wanted. There was mold and soap scum on the bathtub fixtures. The sink was cracked. The shelf under the sink was broken. I had to ask for a hair dryer. We only ate breakfast there the first night because the bagels had mold on them. The windows were so dirty we weren't even able to open the curtains to let the light in. There were puddles all through the lobby because of the ac condensation. We had to be very careful where we walked so that we didn't fall. They only put up wet floor signs when we pointed the puddles out. The entire room smelled very mildew-y. The towel holder in the bathroom fell off the wall-it wasn't attached. Curtains had mold on them from the windows leaking.

We had a pleasant stay and everyone was so helpful
