Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum Hotel

The sink in the bedroom was unique and a bit uncomfortable.

There was a cockroach in the room

Staff at check in and at breakfast are very friendly. Rooms are outdated but in decent condition. The complaint I had was the tub was not draining and ants were coming out of it and on the shower walls; and my checkout. I let the front desk know so that maintenance can handle it, as it was late and didn’t want to move rooms. I asked for late check out (an extra hour) which they accommodated, so was not happy about it not communicated with the next shift. I was met with knocking by housekeeping while I had my privacy sign up and told her I had a late checkout. Then I get a phone call from the front telling me checkout was at 11 and I was supposed to leave.

Older property, could use renovations, found ants in room.

Basic and clean. Good location. Beds are extra firm, so beware if you need a softer mattress. Breakfast was eggs, hash browns, bacon, cereal, bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt, etc. Pool was ok but hot tub was green.

The parking. The pool. The balcony. Everything else.

Nice quiet hotel. Well maintained and a great staff! I didn’t really mind this but the hotel is a bit older and they had remodeling materials in the front lobby.

The key was not good very and the filter of the ceiling fun was so dirty

Better clean room

This hotel is very conveniently located off Interstate 5, just a short drive to the beach towns of Orange County. The pool was nice and clean, though the hot tub looked a little questionable (discolored). The room was standard. We really enjoyed the breakfasts (eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereals, fruits). Also, the coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby was a big hit.

Misleading photos. The room was outdated and dirty, with ants, hair in the tub, and cracked fixtures. I didn’t feel comfortable letting my 1-year-old walk around. The front desk was unreachable. Very disappointing stay.

To be honest about the hotel, the best thing about this hotel is the free breakfast. The carpet is super duty, I don't why staff or management doesn't do a deep clean on the carpet..Staff is very friendly and helpful again the room need to be clean.

Only tiny detail would be parking. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Room with balcony. Nice area. Everything was great except a water drain on the balcony that left the flloor completely wet (room 420). Breakfast had a cook making fresh eggs, bacon and hash browns. Waffle maker. complimentary beakfast was awesome!
