Surfside On The Lake

Rooms are super spacious ridiculously clean. The staff is amazing. The location is super convenient close to everything. The pool was clean and awesome. The lake/beach was amazing. They have bar poolside. They have restaurants. It’s just overall amazing. I have been coming to Lake George for several years and we continuously come back to the Surfside resort. They never let us down. We had such an amazing time and we are so excited to come back again and again and again and again.

The problem I had was no cell phone service in motel. Motel phone were not working either (must be for looks). There was Wifi didn't help with cell phones. Complained, did nothing. CHECK OUT 2 hrs from arrival. Requested money back, said NO.

I usually never leave reviews even if a place is terrible. This was the worst stay I've ever had at Lake George. This place was last minute, usually I stay at the Georgian which is much cleaner and cheaper. I can get past the unkept pool filled with chlorine where your eyes burn, or waiting an hour to be seated for breakfast. Whats hard to get past with this hotel is the unbelievably rude staff. They nit pick everything you do. No eating at the pool unless its food you order from their restaurant. Not even a snack. Management is extremely unprofessional and told us if we didnt like it we could leave. For the people that come for the fireworks, you cant even see them from this hotel. We watched with the rest of the crowd at lake george after paying 1k for 3 nights at this trash place. Save your money and book somewhere else for an actual experience. We left and day early and I was so happy to leave. Micromanaging guests, talking to them like theyre not paying customers. Overall terrible experience.

The room was clean, but it definitely could’ve used some upgrades. They look older. There was stuff to do with the property, but everything booked so fast and even when they said they were reserves kayaks and the kidneys will still be sitting there for 15 to 30 minutes at a time even though no one was using it because people wouldn’t show there should be like a time limit. Lake George lost power for several hours and that made it really hard with four young children. They should really consider a generator.

TVs are confusing, hvac was set to86 when we entered and no directions how to change to ac, screen door didn't work

It’s centrally located on Canada street and it’s on the lake We had a tough time sleeping bc the AC although turned on and working just could not seem to cool the room. Additionally the ice machine was not working.

Room was clean location was perfect Ice machine was out of service

Clean, good location, amenities were fine - beach smaller than expected. Food is restaurant was pretty good, our waitress was great!

Great location! My tween loved the pool, and beach! Kayaks were a great addition. Room was large enough for all of us (4), patio was great for breakfast! Only wish we could have parked our extra vehicle on property, since most of the days it was very quiet, but understandable when times are busy! Off site parking was not too far away. Walking distance to everything. Staff was very nice and helpful. Food was great at the rooftop. Going back next year!

The stay was great, rooftop reataurant was an added bonus, will definately stay there again.

It was located to downtown amenities Our room was horrible .upon arrival the bathroom floor was cracked/ tile broken . Our last night there we had to relocate to a different room due to being flooded out . Water from the rain came inside the room through the back wall , soaked suitcases , gifts we bought and cloths , bags

The beach and pool are great the new roof and work down on cabana bar are beautiful but should stay open later Price was alittle high but 2 many stairs and no elevators but a great location

Gap in the entry door allowing insects to enter the room. Window shades allowed sunlight in when fully closed. Stairs to second floor hard to access due to vehicles in close proximity to stairs entrance.

The hotel in walking distance to stores, ect. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Had plenty of seating for the decks by the pool. We always enjoy staying at this hotel and will do it again.

Location was amazing, the private beach and pool were great, we had a balcony room with the most perfect view The room we stayed in was above the function hall. We were not notified about the wedding happening, and the music was so loud it shook the walls & floor. Thankfully it was over by 10pm, but we would have appreciated the heads up.

The property was well maintained. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. I had a balcony which was nice but I paid a lot of money to look at a metal building next door for a view. Unfortunately it rained most of the time I was there so I was stuck on balcony. The resort is in great walking distance to everything in the village. The swimming area is a bit small considering how many chairs are available. There are lots of chairs on beach, on patio and around pool. Overall, I would recommend this place, howeverC I will ask for a different room with a view.
