Red Roof Inn Washington DC - Lanham

No one checked to see if I needed fresh towels, clean sheets, empty trash etc nothing at all the entire stay. I finally had to go to the front desk and ask for towels and trash bags which I couldn’t get because maintenance had already left for the day. The staff both checking in and checking out were extremely nice, knowledgeable and friendly but everything else was pretty bad.

Not a good area . Just for sleep one night get up early and leave.

The refrigerator didn't keep anything cold The TV is hard to operate. The bed was very firm hurt my back ! However it isn't the worst motel

When I arrived I was told I had to make a thirty dollar deposit which was not mentioned when I booked. Then was told they do not accept cash for payment and directed me to a credit card machine to get a card for payment. .

The property was terrible. Outside was outdated and very dirty. Windows were not clean, rooms were disgusting. Was told I could not be refunded because I should have looked at the photos online to see what the rooms looked like. Meanwhile, the photos online as opposed to what it looks like in person is very different. Only plus side was the time it took to get to where we were going.

Sheets were stained, old towels, roaches on floor. Room smelled like cigarette and really poorly maintained building.

It stunk. Water mold everywhere. Just dirty. Should have expected it. We only needed a few hours of rest before getting back on the road, but this was a terrible experience and we will not be frequenting another red roof inn or sister establishment.

The refrigerator was filthy, the bathroom was dirty, the toilet was broken, and the TV didn’t work. The washcloths and towels were stained and appeared dirty, and the bedding also had stains on it, which was completely unacceptable. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get any rest. The rug was covered in dirt and stains, and there were spots on the bathroom floor that looked like blood. To make matters worse, the smoke detector kept going off. Instead of fixing the issue, staff simply removed it from the room, which was very concerning from a safety standpoint. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The photos online are false advertising and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. I truly wish I could get my money back. I would not recommend staying here. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The photos for the property are deceiving. Dirty sheets, bathroom was dirty, look like the outdoor maintenance is not done and a lot of strange people hanging outside.
