Candlewood Suites East Lansing by IHG

Clean and comfortable room. Misleading listing. I booked this hotel for the spa and pool. The spa was closed for the 4th of July holiday. Front desk said the adjacent pool was unaffiliated to the hotel…so no pool access either. Convenient location if you are golfing at Forest Akers, but otherwise, you’ll need to drive to restaurants. It’s a clean, quiet, and inexpensive place to stay. Consider other options if you require additional amenities.

The check in process was so fast and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The lobby has a small convenience store area that was very well stocked also. If we're ever in Lansing we'll definitely come back!

This hotel is an older property but has been well maintained and looks as though the rooms have had a recent renovation. Facilities and room where clean and well maintained. The Market area with snacks and drinks is across from the front desk and was well stocked. The setting of the hotel was really nice, it backs up to the Forest Akers West golf course and almost feels rural. About 3 miles from Grand River drive but a great value. Enjoyed my stay!

Weird hotel , not clean, felt like I was checking into a prison.

Then add lots of “little” extras: gratis coffee 24/7 with variety of snack foods available for purchase also 24/7. Free self-laundry. Excellent desk staff, helpful and friendly. Not a problem changing my check-out date a couple of times. Feels like being out in the country while still being close to visits and activities in Lansing and East Lansing. Gym and golf, walking area right there. Planning to stay here whenever I visit the area.

Definitely going back!

The staff was so nice and helpful. My wife is large and the hotel did not have the 2 queen beds that we ordered so someone had to bring a cot for her to sleep on. This hotel was not near food or any amenities.

I booked 2 days and the 2nd night, my partner and I had to work 3rd shift, so I requested a late check out of 1pm and told that would not be an issue. I received a call at 11:45 AM from the management telling me it wasn't ok and if I wasn't out by 12:30 I'd be charged. I'm a disabled full time wheelchair user, so it takes me a long time to get ready. So, I had to wake my partner up and we had to find a way to basically do the impossible or be charged even though the staff made the mistake and not us. I had planned on coming back due to the property and location being good but I doubt that will happen now. Extremely extremely unprofessional and rude. Absolutely and unequivocally unacceptable behavior from any hospitality business.

Very clean and excellent room. Full size refrigerator. Stovetop to cook on. Nice bathroom and excellent staff. Washers and dryers you can use for free. Everything was wonderful!
