Quality Inn & Suites Lawrence - University Area

Was the room clean? I mean, I guess. It didn't feel clean, but I couldn't find any specific evidence that it wasn't. Was the staff nice? Yes. They were very chill and just a little more pleasant then neutral. The breakfast was very, very skippable, but the biggest issue was the outdoor situation. First impressions are important. The parking spots are SMALL. I drive a mid-sized sedan, and barely had room. There were many trucks in the parking lot, and 0% of them fit in a spot. So the trucks were basically taking two spots. Any driver that didn't really try hard to get in took up two spots, so when the lot got full, it got REALLY full. Additionally, I could see some torn curtains in a room right by the entrance. That seems like the first thing you would want to fix. I used to live in Lawrence, I couldn't remember the hotel. When I pulled up, and said to myself, "Oh no, not this place." But to end on a bright side. The outside set a bad expectation, but the desk guy was just a bit more pleasant than neutral, and the room was perfectly 3 out of 5, so it definitely was not terrible, but I will definitely never stay here again, and it will hopefully teach me to be more discerning in with hotel selection in the future.

Good location. Was very hot and humid in the building even in the room. Made the bedding feed damp.

Do not stay here! Rooms are dirty, stained bedded and mold in bathroom!

We needed a place to rest our heads for the night. This did the trick but in the future I’ll stay elsewhere. Price was right but it outdated and didn’t feel so well kept.

Nice staff but no hot tub. One of the room's AC was in rough shape and didn't run well. No working vending machines with snacks. Ok breakfast. Not horrible but not very good.

Room was TERRIBLE! Told the front desk staff so the moved us to another room that was worse than the first. Dirty sheets, dirty towels in the drawers, bathroom door hits the toilet, moldy/stained carpet, a/c doesn't get cold.

Could not stay in the room. Blanket stained. Sheets had body oil/ sweat stains and hair from whoever was there before. Mold around shower in bathroom. Decided to leave and go somewhere else.

We made it to our room, I ordered a 2 queen…I received a 1 King with a jacuzzi tub. My son and I were so exhausted we didn’t have any energy to go back to the front desk. After entering the room the musty wet smell was horrible, the towels and carpet felt wet, there were stains on the pillow cases and the bottom sheet, and holes in the towels. The room overall just felt gross and dirty. I have stayed at many quality inns and had great experiences, but this one definitely has me rethinking all my future stays. Pros: air conditioner worked. There was a fridge and microwave

Very reasonably priced motel close to university, restaurant choices and shopping.

The room vents in bathroom don’t work bathtub filled with water when showering the blankets were stained the hallways and elevator the air conditioning didn’t work it was extremely hot. The indoor pool was dirty and moldy glass windows dirty finger prints everywhere definitely will not stay there again
