This is my goto hotel prior to cruising out of Galveston. I’ve never had any complaints but this time our room, 318, had a very loud AC unit. It was worst during the night and we didn’t even bother to make a call assuming there was nothing that could be done short of moving us to a different room in the middle of the night. Reported it first thing in the morning though.

When you have a quick trip it is very important that everything go smooth and thankfully we had a great experience! We came in late and left after an early breakfast and everything was great!

Parking is terrible. We are from out of town and unfamiliar with downtown parking. Hotel has no parking for guest unless you pay $60 for valet. When asked where we can park, the valet guys said you can go find parking elsewhere. No recommendations. They acted put out because we didnt want to pay for valet. We parked in a spot to unload our things, no sign in front of us that said pay meter and 3 hour max parking. It was further down from where we parked. We among others doing the same thing got $70 tickets on our cars.

Super friendly staff and very clean room. The o my thing that keeps from from giving the 5 stars is the very squeaky sofa bed.
