Fairfield Inn & Suites Lexington Keeneland Airport

We have stayed at this property multiple times, and love it every time. The breakfast is always SO good, and so well-maintained.

We were not greeted by the front office personnel. We tried to check in at 2:45, although the check in is at 3 pm and the young woman at the desk told me that if I checked in early (15 minutes early!!!) it would be an additional $50.00 charge. Ridiculous and rude.

The remote control to the TV was a bit tricky changing the channel and turning volume up or down, but other than that it was a pleasant experience. I’ve stayed in this hotel before and I will stay again.

The friendliness of the staff.

Only booked this hotel for the airport shuttle. When I got to the airport I called for the shuttle and was told that the driver called in and they didn’t have a shuttle for me. I had to spend $25 for an Uber to pick me up and drive me to the hotel.

The Fairfield Hotel was excellent. There was a great selection of foods for breakfast. The only disappointment was that there was not an airport shuttle available. I scheduled this Hotel because it listed an airport shuttle in the amenities list.

The room had a terrible odor. We saw mold along the moulding in the bathroom. We were offered a handicap accessible shower but there wasn’t one in the room.

Nice. Clean. As expected. Only concern is they advertise shuttle service but Airport shuttle service only runs 4AM to 8:30AM. When I tried to schedule shuttle service I was informed the one person who drove the shuttle would be off in the morning and was unavailable.

Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our 2 night stay. Room and building was clean. Breakfast was good with eggs, Canadian bacon, waffle maker, and all the other normal carb choices. Location is great for short time to restaurants, a few stores, and the airport.

Receptionist was courteous and helpful. Room was comfy and roomy and clean. Breakfast had a lot of variety. Attendant was fastidious and keep all foods restocked and neat. Free parking. Close to nearby restaurants. Nice area south of Lexington.

Staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast had a lot of options and was good quality. Very close to the airport. Some areas outdated and could use some refreshing. Only negative was hotel no longer offers free airport shuttle service and this was listed on the page.

This place has a guest laundry but the washer and dryer only accepts quarters. Guess what? The front desk has no quarters. None. And they had no detergent. I had to go off the property to purchase laundry detergent ($11) and 3 separate restaurants nearby to get enough quarters to wash a load of clothes. The appliances worked fine as long as you fed them quarters. They charge $2.50 for a soda but you have to give them $3.00 because they have no quarters. When I checked out and got my bill, it was what I expected to pay. However, when I arrived at home and checked by bank account, my card was charged $326.33 more the amount that was on my checkout receipt. When I contacted them they said I should see a correction in about a week and if not then call back. A week? That's pretty tough on someone with a fixed income. An electronic transaction only takes a second. I would have given 4 or even 5 stars other than these issues. My room was clean, amenities were good, breakfast was good, staff was friendly but the manager doesn't see fit to provide change for purchasing items from their Market Place or laundry. If these are issues important to you, bring plenty of quarters.
