Inn at Highway 1

I was hopeful for this stay being that it was affordable & the photos looked like it was a decent stay. It was grungy feeling, the front desk representative was not helpful at all. She was rude to everyone that came into their establishment. Our key would not work after 11am everyday and we had to get that fixed every day during our stay. I’m unsure if that is a system glitch or just an error for our specific room. The pillows felt like you were sleeping on air, & we tried asking for more pillows but the do not have extra. The pillows gave me a rash as well so I’m unsure why that happened. Because of this overall experience, I will not be returning to Lompoc or this establishment again.

My blind stopped working because they were automatic. I asked for assistance they told me they would send maintenance maintenance didn’t come instead housekeeping help me, and we found out that the blinds needed to be charged second my sink was clogged so you know I couldn’t wash my face and brush my teeth at the same time I would have to wait for the water to go down. I asked for assistance. They told me that maintenance wasn’t available because of the holiday and the hour. I tried to bring it up to them before leaving the hotel but they were on a two hour lunch the glass cups you use for the ice and to have your drinks, one of them cracked, so we chose not to use them I tried to bring this up at checkout, and the lady in the front seem to have an attitude about me complaining and told me that if I was requesting a refund that I would have to talk to her boss about it I explained to her that I was just bringing up the problems to her so that she can fix them for anybody else yet she still seem to have a problem with it after I showed her some photos so that she wouldn’t think that I was lying she stated that she didn’t need to see any photos and that I could bring that up to her boss. I was planning on staying another day but after this, I don’t think I’m gonna be staying here ever again.

It was clean, within walking distance of multiple restaurants, the breakfast in the morning was good. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay! Everything was excellent—the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the service was outstanding. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was very clean with large bathroom. The property looks like recently upgraded. For those who drive a Tesla, they had a Tesla charger as well.

The property stay was very good, the place is clean and the bed is very comfortable. The pillows were soft and very clean. My only complaint was that I didn’t appreciate it when the staff open the door in the morning. If the check out time is at 11:00 am why do they try to get inside your room before, that’s disrespectful.

Breakfast was surprisingly delightful and more variety than expected! Rooms were also nice with a large bathroom. I would stay here again

Reasonable for a short stay except for a couple items: (1) The main problem was that we came back to find the door open even though we had pulled it closed before leaving. (2) More minor problems are that the sinks are mounted too high to be comfortable for use and the shower layout is such that when you turn on the shower, there is no way to avoid being doused with cold water. (3) Finally, the breakfast ended too early (8 am on weekdays, 9 am on weekends) to be useful for us.

Hotel was very clean but the furniture was not kept up. All the furniture doors didn’t close right. Bathroom was a really nice size and very well lit. Beds and bedding were nice. Parking was plentiful and convenient. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Fresh fruit, coffee, juices and much more. Only thing is the dining area is very small but outdoor tables are available. We would stay there again. Ladies at front desk were very nice and helpful. We experienced a rocket launch at about 9:30pm on Saturday night as there’s an Air Force base near by. We were startled by the loud noise and rumbling but when we realized what it was, it was a funny memory that we will keep with our daughters.

The room was very clean and the blackout blinds were great.

This was the best hotel on my eight day motorcycle trip. The manager was extremely helpful and extremely polite. We happen to see each other outside and he inquired about my satisfaction with the room. I loved the fact that there was an electric tea kettle, very comfortable bed, great refrigerator, and an excellent smart TV. I was able to park my Harley right outside of my door which was also a bonus. The manager‘s name was Mike and he is a gem! I don’t know if I’ll ever be back in Lompoc but should I find myself in your town? I will definitely stay with you again. Thank you very much, Howard Harrow.

This hotel was great! Beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean and spacious. Black out shades were amazing, the staff was very friendly and helpful and they had a very nice breakfast in the morning. We would stay here again!

Recently updated, the bathroom was a little awkward with the toilet paper roll mounted at about chest height.. and the rainfall shower just about drowned me, but other than that it was a quick one night stay on an extremely comfortable bed. I slept through breakfast so hopefully that was good too.

Quick check in. Room was clean and very nice for a good price. Definitely will stay again when in the area
