Good bargain hotel. The room, was massive with a beautiful courtyard view. The room also had peeling paint and wallpaper, very worn bathroom and linens. I noticed that the cleaning staff just flipped the bedsheets over instead of changing them. The breakfast was good but no different than a standard continental breakfast except these items were individually priced. The neighborhood seems pretty sketchy but we walked at night and were unbothered. This is not THE Hollywood Hotel. The famous one is in a different class altogether.

Left for another hotel 20 mins after checking in. Rooms on the ground floor are exceptionally noisy - traffic noise is insane. The room smelled like old ciggarettes and the floors were cold and everything echoed. I’d expect this if a room was $100 or less - not for $300! The photos online are not at all what is in real life. The pool is in the back of a parking lot, so you hear cars the entire time.

If you want the feel of1950s LA then this is the place. Be aware that there are 3 levels of room. You get what you pay for

Quiet. Clean. Wunnerful.

Our room was dark and secluded. The bed was hard and very squeaky. Small room. Not what I was expecting especially with the cost of the room.

Consistently rude service from the staff. Check in was extremely challenging as they initially would not allow me to add someone to my reservation and then once that was done they denied me access to my own hotel room that was paid for on my credit card, claiming I was not on the reservation despite showing them multiple emails demonstrating I was the primary person on the reservation. We received zero housekeeping during our stay, despite asking for it, and when we asked for bowls after ordering food for delivery, we were told they had absolutely no bowls or even cutlery despite having a restaurant on the premises. Additionally, the photos they posted online are very misleading. There is no hotel bar or common space to hangout and the rooms were not well maintained. The air conditioning was so incredibly loud we opted not to run it when we were awake, which was rather uncomfortable. The only decent things about the establishment were that the pool was quite nice and the location was decent in terms of convenience to the LA Zoo and some lovely restaurants. But I will never return.

I never leave reviews but I had to here. This was our first time staying in a hotel with our rescue dog. We chose it because it was dog-friendly and close to our friend’s house. The parking lot is big, fenced in and very secure. It’s expensive to park ($40/night) but I read that beforehand and had prepared for it. The hotel was lovely and well maintained on the outside and inside. We were given a 1st floor room bc of our dog and I was worried about noise from upstairs rooms, but didn’t hear a single peep. The room was overlooking a cute courtyard, it was clean, and comfortable. Our nervous rescue dog settled in nicely. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel and would absolutely stay again with our dog.

Michael the front desk gentleman was so helpful, friendly and simply awesome!!

The pool area is beautiful and secluded due to the high trees. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very spacious and clean. Location. I wish I’d done my homework so that’s on me. The hotel is in a very poor area and unless you’re willing to spend money on Ubers, food options are very limited. I didn’t feel safe going out after dark. The Metro is very close however, if you feel safe using it.

Loved it there convenient for transporting and walking distance to food
-
I didn't use the bistro or the pool, but they both looked pleasant. The location is handy for buses and the Metro station, and many interesting or necessary places are easily accessible through those or on foot. The only downside was the poor wifi, which caused some problems. Aside from that, I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
-
Great central hotel with a walking distance to the subway, so easily can get to where you want. we had 5 rooms and one of the rooms had trouble working the showers.
-
I would like to commend the staff of the hotel for bring so accomodated and helpful.

Rooms were clean and accommodating.

We had to move rooms due to ants invading our first floor room. The staff tried multiple times to spray but they just kept coming in. They did end up moving us to another room but it wasn’t renovated.
