Normandie Hostel

* The staff were sparse, but my interactions with them were friendly. They really did seem to care about the place, but the clientele and neighborhood make their job tough. * The individual beds did have curtains and power plugs inside each one, which was convenient. * Shower was clean, and towels were provided. * Kitchen sink was super clogged and unusable during my stay, and completely filled to the brim. The first night there was also no dish soap (it did appear on later nights). * No utensils or dishware in the kitchen. * Bathroom ran out of toilet paper, without replacement available in the bathroom. I happened to find staff nearby when I had to urgently go, who had to go to the garage to retrieve toilet paper, but had I had the need before noontime, I would've been screwed. * Shower had soap and shampoo dispensers, but they were empty my entire stay. * Some guy was sleeping at the dining room table overnight multiple nights. To be fair, I also saw the staff telling him the 2nd night that he had to book a room or leave, but it was tolerated for at least 1 night. * Random people were able to enter my room through the sliding glass door, bypassing the keypad lock on the room door. * My car's catalytic converter was stolen when parked on the street immediately in front of the hostel, overnight on the first night I stayed there (Christmas Eve of all nights). I can't blame the owners for this, but I feel people should be aware. (Multiple catalytic converters were stolen from cars on the block that night.) Neighbors and hostel workers told me after the theft that this is apparently semi-common, and "this is the season" for that. * Security cameras looked like they were posted throughout the property, including one pointing out front, but when I asked for footage for the catalytic converter theft, they told me that the camera subscription hadn't been paid for by the owner for 3+ months, and that they only had a live feed without the ability to go back in the recording.

I didnt like it at first cause It was bunk beds but it was cool I ment to book privet room but I got it when rebooked. I liked the kitchen it had everthing I needed to cook this is a convenient location in Hollywood and its nice im going to definitely stay again I recommend this place to anyone who like s a morden Hollywood vibe I think this is best for a long term stay.

This place is in a nice location.It's quiet and it's clean and it's a good price.The washer free

It's okay standard Hard to find a employee around here. But nice and quiet did a little cleaning. Wasn't that bad good value.

Brand new bathroom. The lighting in the room gives off clinic vibes. The area can get a bit dodgy after dark, but that would be the same in other parts of L.A.

The kitchen amenities able to store and cook food. The through cleaning of the bathroom in Girls Dorm I had my food and Eweron bottles mistakenly discarded

They have kitchen to make your own food ! Good point but they need more kitchen equipment The room was in a poor condition , as they didn’t clean the day before , so they gave us another room after that but 65% clean , a lot hair on the floor, bed and shower, sink etc ,they didn’t have a good customers service as they never try to fix our problems there, also check out 11 am but if you have a big fligh you have to book another place or pay extra day to keep you luggage safe before your flight not keep luggage service there , they just care about the money not about the customer experience, if you can increase your budget to book a better hotel go for it otherwise you will regret if you stay in Normandie Hostel !!
