La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lubbock North

The location is good. There was a pile of dirty laundry in the hall along with bags of trash. The back entry door was messed up and would not even close. It was obvious the door had been broke for some time. No entry card needed to access to building, making the location unsafe.

Pleasant

The room was in horrible condition, mold and mildew everywhere.

Parking was limited.

Extremely expensive, bad quality, old and dirty.

It was close to my son’s apartment Dirty, run down.

Breakfast was convenient Cleanliness, room had mold on ac unit vent, dog hair and sand. Other guests were smoking marijuana and the hallway had a strong marijuana smell the entire stay. The hot water was sporadic and many of us ended up having to take cold showers.

Location was close to Thrive apartments. The room smelled like smoke (I paid for non-smoking). I had to get some room spray from my daughter to spray the room to make it smell better. All of my clothes ended up smelling like smoke. There were no towels in the room. I had to go to the front desk to get towels (1st trip back to the front desk). I tried to call the front desk, the phone was not plugged in, there was no cord. There looked to be bugs/shells/black stuff in the bed. Took pictures and made a 2nd trip to the front desk. The guy at the front desk came to the room and looked at the stuff in the bed. He said it wasn’t bugs and knocked it on the floor, but it sure looked like it to me compared to the pictures of bed bugs online. Opened the sheets and the were pubes and hair in side the sheets like they weren’t cleaned. Front desk guy said there were no other rooms, so he couldn’t move me but I could talk to the manager, Luke. Being there for my daughter’s family weekend for the school, we had a busy schedule and I did not get to see the manager. The guy from the front desk should have told his manager that he needed to contact me. Because of course he was not available when I checked out on Sunday to discuss my issues with my room. The showers for 2 days I was there, there was no hot water. I got up each morning at 7:30 to take a shower, there was lukewarm water enough to get my hair wet and then it was ice cold. Both morning I had to take ice cold showers. For a hotel that is $1k for 2 nights this was NOT worth the money. This is my 2nd time to try to stay here. The first time my door wouldn’t lock. This time Anita (the manager on duty) was nice enough but looked like a deer in headlights. All she could say was she was sorry. I asked her to have the manager call me. I have received no call.

They ran out of breakfast by 8 o’clock. The ice machine didn’t work. The staff didn’t seem to care about anything. Will not choose this location again.

Location and price Mildew in the shower and areas look like they are worn

We liked that they provided breakfast, had sitting areas outside in the shade, and was quite with comfortable and clean rooms. The pillows were a little lumpy, but multiple pillows on the bed.

The hotel was great

The outside window had mildew around it. The best part of the stay was the bed. Very comfortable and nice cold AC.

There was some stuff that was very nice and he's and some didn't do their jobs pool was cleaned breakfast was okay hot tub was not working , there was hardly hot water

The facility had one ice machine that did not function. Looked like it hadn’t worked for a while. There was food trash stacked in the unused vending areas and the carpet in our hall on the first floor had major stains. This facility needs an effort in maintenance and cleanliness. This has not been our typical experience with La Quinta!
