Wingate by Wyndham Lubbock near Texas Tech Univ. Medical Ctr

Noise levels in this hotel were beyond and called the front desk twice to address the problems. Woke up the next morning with someone screaming at the top of their lungs. Scared to death. Luckily I checked out that morning. When I shared this information with the manager the housekeeper was present and said a lot of customers that stay there do drugs in the room and she had witnessed first hand while cleaning rooms all the residuals of drug use left behind. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property!

Well it wasn't the cleanest Hotel, it's a bit dated. My A/C had all the guts showing, electrical hazard. The door handles were falling off. The check In clerk was extremely nice. Bathroom lighting is not very bright. Could be nicer if they paid attention to small details regarding the property itself.

Staff was friendly, and rooms were clean. So clean that our remote disappeared....lol, however they supplied us with another one. Only complaint would be the beds are too hard.

This is a nice place to stay when visiting Lubbock. The rooms are fine and the complimentary breakfast is convenient

We have stayed here multiple times. The staff is always accommodating and kind. Very clean property. Breakfast was perfect. Beds are comfortable. The pool Is indoor with a great hot tub. It would be nice to have access to filtered water. The ice machine is on the 2nd and 3rd floor and the only place for filtered water is in the workout room on the 1st floor. We really like this hotel. Convenient location too.

Stayed here many times. Time has taken a toll on the property not as clean as it used to be.

Rooms were filthy, mold in all the a/c units, dust covering every piece of furniture. Showers had buildup of hygiene products and there were stains on the bedding and couches. A/C was not working when we arrived so they moved us. The staff was very accommodating and tried showing us several rooms but there were all the same as far as cleanliness. Would not recommend especially if traveling with young children.

This hotel was FILTHY!!! Starting with the hotel entrance to the walkway to the counter.. From the counter to the elevator.. The filthy elevator.. The 2nd floor hallway towards the room.. and this empty room which looked like an abandoned dumpster.. Inside the room, the bathroom door was full of smears and dirty fingerprints which possibly could have been wiped off with cleaning spray and a rag.. Both queen sized beds had stained sheets that were big enough to see that they were either dirty or shouldn't be used.. I complained to the front desk and she offered a different room on the 4th floor.. Immediately off the elevator, there was was boxes and bags full of trash.. and to top things off, one of the beds had a dead bedbug lying on the box spring.. I took lots of pics and showed them all to the front desk clerk.. I requested a refund which she told me she could not give but would inform her manager who would be in the next day and I would be contacted. Well, today is the next day and it's 5:50pm. I wasn't contacted by anyone but did contact the hotel and requested a callback from the manager. I checked out of the hotel immediately after advising the front desk lady of the bedbug and she asked if I wanted to see a 3rd room. I said No! I do not see why this hotel has 3 stars... The outside looks much better than the inside.. and I will say Never Again!! This was my first and last Wingate visit..and I'm waiting on my refund!!

The staff was great! Super helpful and nice! The property itself was pretty nice and up kept. My only thing was the sheets in my room had some small stains in them and there were a few hairs on the tip of the bed. Over all though it wasn’t bad. I felt like they were short staffed and they were trying their best to keep up.

Bathrooms and public areas need a little more cleaning

To top it off, the business center/printer didn’t work and the breakfast was less than mediocre. We were greatly disappointed with our stay.

Motel is hot ..feels like it's being run on the cheap. At check in was given a room that had hair on the sheets..shredded towels ..& drawing on the mirror. Went to the front desk with photos of the room condition & was given a different room..2nd room had holes in towels & one was dirty..the shower soap bottle was empty..asked the front desk about getting soap & was told the whole motel was out of shower soap. All the hallways are extremely hot..front desk has a fan set up blowing on them. Took forever to get the room temperature to a comfortable state..2nd room bed was comfortable & water is hot..but sink is draining very slowly. Breakfast was good ..fully stocked & clean area. Overall was not a good experience & definitely NOT a Wyndham experience.

The staff was very friendly but overall the place smelled a lot and the rooms were not clean at all...lots of dust and visible grime and dirt in carpet. We stayed in two separate rooms on the way to somewhere and the way back.

The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Enjoyed the coffee/ tea station and mini store.

The hotel was ok but they have horrible ethics. I booked for two weeks thinking my job would last that long. Turns out it didn’t so I checked out a week early and they refused to refund me for the other week I paid for that I don’t stay for. And I have yet to know if the manager never checked me out or if they are just being shady. Either way if it’s ok for a hotel to keep a weeks worth of money for someone who checked out a week early they deserve to spend their time in court for theft. I’d never stay at this facility again no matter how nice it is. What if I would have booked a month? Would they have kept all that money as well.

Breakfast is horrible
