Ludington Pier House

The room was clean and no air freshener smells. The hot tub and pool were also clean, although a few of the jets didn't work. The air conditioner worked but had a random loud rattling noise. The bathroom window wouldn't open. They said there was wifi but it didn't work except by the reception area. Parking was good, hot shower nice water pressure. Curtain not black out and broken so it wouldn't close. Refrigerator worked. We made the decision not to complain on our vacation time. Would choose a different option next time.

An older facility but very well kept and meticulous attention to the details of appearance, inside and outside. Mia at the front desk was very accommodating and a pleasant person to interact with!

Facility is 2 blocks away from the beach, which makes recreational choices, seeing the Badger dock in and out, and sunsets very convenient. The hallways and rooms are clean, but the outside could used some renovation.

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Very clean and well maintained. Housekeeping, needs improvement. Fortunately we carry disinfectant and other items for our own piece of mind. The floor in our room had crumbs and cheese popcorn. Our night stands were filthy, and we wiped them down. When I moved the lamp and got the back, it is obvious the house keeper is not doing the job. It was disappointing, but we took care of it. The first staff member was wonderful, helpful, and friendly. She was so helpful and understands hospitality. The male working there seems truly unhappy and not interested in the hospitality aspects in owning an establishment dependant on visitors. He was a real downer and probably shouldn't work a front desk. Over all it was good, but minimal. Location is nice and the parking wasn't too bad.

Needs improvements

Close to the beach. Price was good. No hot water the evening of the 12th and the morning of the 13th IN THE SHOWER! Had to take COLD showers. Didn't appreciate this.... reported to front desk when we checked out.

Room was clean and comfortable, linens were below average. Wifi was spotty at best.

Here is my honest opinion. Room was clean, plenty of towels provided, soap and shampoo provided, water pressure was great with instant hot water. Room furnishings are outdated, worn and the room had a weird smell. Bed & pillows seemed old and were not comfortable. In other words I did not sleep well. The location of this place is excellent being 2 blocks from the big lake (Lake Michigan) and 5-6 blocks from downtown. This allowed my wife and I to leave the car parked and walk everywhere we wanted to go. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I think we might try another place in the same area first.

But its a clean and the staff is great!

Front desk gave me a third room key without complaint and every one seemed very friendly. They had a small bottle of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom which was nice.

The property and furnishings are older. The room was clean and guest reception was good.

Room was not well ventilated, stuffy. I would have to say it was a lot of money for what you got. Never received a call back regarding parking before we arrived.

Maintained. Close to the beach and restaurants. The decor could be updated but I liked it and would recommend it.

The pool was nice and location convenient. The sheets were stained in very obvious places, I moved a pillow upon arriving and two big stains on the top sheet. When I told the front desk, they seemed to brush it off like it was a regular complaint. How a cleaning person could continue to use the sheet once they saw the stain is unbelievable. They basically covered it with a pillow. The WiFi was also not reliable at all in our room. Also, they asked for no coolers in the room so the floor doesn’t get ruined, how about they spring for some sheets so my face isn’t expected to come into contact with stained sheets.

The location Our room when we walked in had an odor of cigarette smoke, it was so lingering we went and bought a disinfectant spray. Our headboard, tv stand, table were dusty and full of fingerprints. Bath tub needed cleaning with dead bugs. The carpet needed shampooing and vacuuming. I also spotted a cigarette burn on the carpet by the bed. A breakfast was advertised it was almost non existent. Batter to make waffles, 2 muffins and a few yogurts in the fridge no bread to make toast. Juice machine had an area for juice and when you press the button just water came out..
