Bed and Breakfasts, in general, are sometimes a unique taste for travelers, but if you are game for the potential experience you will always want to find a unique property with engaging, good-humored owners who might share a story or two along the way. The Governor's Inn fits the bill well. Logistically, they are a short walk to some great stores and restaurants in Ludlow and a quick 5-minute drive to skiing at Okemo. The house itself and our room were spotless and unique. Breakfast was very good and well-paced and the proprietors, Rosemarie and Holger, were very friendly and helpful with our plans and surroundings, buzzing around like a favorite aunt and uncle. They were always very proactive about making sure our stay was comfortable and happy and keeping us updated on local info on the BIG STORM (late January, 2026) with which our stay happened to coincide. Put this location on your list. Nothing to report.

The breakfast was amazing, they took excellent care to make sure my allergies were accounted for. Every meal was delicious!

The style, the attention to details and the host. I liked everything

There are snacks and cookies and drinks available for free 24/7. The breakfast was to die for. Rosie is a fantastic breakfast chef. The house was converted to a B&B and wasn't easily adaptable. Rooms are not large. We stayed in what was described as the smallest of the rooms and small is an understatement. That includes the pretty tiny bathroom. But there was a TV and the hosts' charm, the attention to detail and the quality of breakfast make up for it.

The breakfast was phenomenal. The hospitality was excellent. The rooms were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great location, walking distance to town. Will definitely be returning!

Our room didn't have an attached bathroom,so it was a little bit inconvenient. I wanted to open the window to get some fresh air but it wasn't available to do so.

The staff is awesome, always ready to assist. The breakfast is memorable. Nothing to note.

Breakfast at the governors in was amazing.

As noted by many, the breakfasts are simply amazing! Felt like we were in the cafe at a $1,000 a night European hotel. The property is great and very convenient, even on a cold windy night we walked to dinner. As with many New England B&Bs the Governor is an older home so we did not expect spacious rooms, but the deluxe king definitely was spacious and comfortable. The hosts/staff are unparalleled, they thought of everything to keep guests comfortable. We simply cannot think of anything that can be improved!
