Hundreds of bugs all over our entry door all day and night. Room seamed clean but shower head only 5' tall. There for 3 nights and same trash and liquor bottles on beach all weekend. Almost all beach chairs are broken. Not a good experience for 4th of july weekend. Pitiful for over $300/night

Room is decent clean, staffs very friendly and helpful, beach view is excellent and air conditioning is loud and constantly running.

Our original room was not ready at 4pm. The manager said maybe 6pm. The manager finally upgraded our room for no extra cost. When we arrived to the upgraded room the sheets had stains on them. They remade the bed. The beach was dirty including a dead seagull. We love Mackinaw City but may have to find a new location to stay. The front desk lady Susan was very helpful

Shower didn’t work, hot tub didn’t work, It was no where near what was expected. It was in the 80’s and we weren’t able to shower after being out side all day.

The room smelled musty & moldy.

It was on the beach Was lied to about price, no microwave in room, and the room looked like it was straight out of baits motel. Asked for a room with a tub, then the faucet didn't even work.

Starting with our first impressions once arriving on the property. We first noticed the buildings were in desperate need of repair, washing and cleanup of mold and areas of disrepair to the buildings, including the decks were years beyond needing upkeep and repair. moving into our room, we found the floor had not been vacuumed. Some of the light switches did not work, there was new wood paneling in the room, but wood glue runs in the shower all over the bathroom floor that we originally thought were urine, and there were many exterior lights in the corridors leading up to our room that did not work on our floor. The maintenance closet door was kicked in and held together by a coat hanger. We went to use the sauna in the hot tub only to find they were both broken and out of order looking at the beach to go enjoy that part was heavily overgrown with weeds and grass that the neighboring properties did not have.

First, the staff that checked me in was amazing. The stay started great. But then…at 1:30 AM it started. A dripping…then the dripping turned into a steady stream. We got up and see the ceiling leaking…badly. I called the hotel at 1:53 am to report. The leak was also drizzling on my roommates bed. After being on hold and calling back at 1:57 because the call dropped I was told she called the property manager and she was told there is nothing the can do, maintenance is not available and the hotel is fully booked. Ok cool I have to hear this all night…needless to say it was a sleepless night. Come checkout I told the clerk again of the leak. He said it was the ac, I said no it’s bad and coming from the ceiling. He apologized. I then contacted the 3rd party I booked with. I feel as though we need a refund or credit if some sort. I would have been ok with “sorry but they said they could only give a 50 credit”. BUT what I got was “the staff member said you never notified them so they will not do anything.” WHAT?!? Cause yes I did … twice. Which is more concerning, are they just not going to address the raining room?

Location Bugs in tub staff not having breakfast ready
-
Convenient location.
-
No exhaust fan in bathroom.
-
The door to the room had a considerable gap at the bottom allowing light and the elements in. Some mold and old caulk in the bathroom, as well as the hairdryer that shorted out mid-use.
-
Good check in. Nice room Breakfast was very minimal.

The manager was rude, he was not able to answer any questions about nearby restaurants or any other info regarding sight seeing near by.

Family Friendly.

I will start off by saying check in was terrible. We had booked a deluxe room with the extra room added onto it with a balcony, when we got there they gave us a key to a standard room with lights that didn’t even work. We went back to the front desk and told one of the employees that there was a mistake. He said that the room we were talking about was booked (even though that’s the room we had paid for and there was no one else at the hotel…) and he would upgrade us for free even though we had already paid $300+ for the deluxe room. We got to the room and immediately it smelled musty, you could tell the carpet hasn’t ever been cleaned and the water smelled like rotten eggs. The balcony was disgusting and covered in dead bugs and moss. Other than that the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked very well. Overall, we would not stay here again.
